That would be contemplating retirement, and like Tony Bellow the color commentator said Taylor should retire at the top code for ( having gotten the gift decision ).
Because she received the beating of her career, that'll have long term lingering affects on her mind, and body for the rest of her life.
She'll be having nightmare's about Amanda Serrano, the beating she received at the hands of, and how lucky she was to be gifted the decision that allowed her to hold on to the title that she had obviously lost.

Whether you think the decision was bull**** or not, Taylor fears no one, she fought Persoon again after everyone believed she would be best walking away from that fight. I think if a rematch in Ireland is on the cards she'd go again.

actually it wasn't you said Taylor didn't win based on who she is and her contributions to women's boxing but I was saying it's all related, they didn't wan't Serrano moving up 2 weight classes and dethroning a 2x gold medalist and current face of women's boxing, I thought Paul summed it up perfectly and told what it really was after the fight..

If I was Serrano I wouldn't be too keen on a rematch and it seems like she wasn't either, it's really not good idea to face pure boxer twice (especially in their homeland) because generally the only one that will improve is the pure boxer. Like what more is Amanda going to do when in most people eyes she won the fight, Amanda should go back down to FW where she remains champion because it's obvious the judges aren't going to give her the decision and one of Taylors best traits is her chin so the chance of Serrano actually knocking her out is slim..

If I was Serrano I wouldn't be too keen on a rematch and it seems like she wasn't either, it's really not good idea to face pure boxer twice (especially in their homeland) because generally the only one that will improve is the pure boxer. Like what more is Amanda going to do when in most people eyes she won the fight, Amanda should go back down to FW where she remains champion because it's obvious the judges aren't going to give her the decision and one of Taylors best traits is her chin so the chance of Serrano actually knocking her out is slim..

Depends on what her motivations are, she's already made history being a 7 weight champion, not an awful lot left for her to achieve. She didn't seem too pissed off or offended by this loss after the fight so if she was looking to cash out, another fight with Taylor would be a larger purse next time I'd imagine.

Serrano won round 12? Was it because Serrano was outlanded in punches and power punches thar round or what because she clearly lost the the round. Yeah I def thought about that even as I typed it. Ultimately they are prize fighters so the money talks and Amanda can't make near what she'll make in a rematch fighting anyone else, but who knows if Katie was really serious about a rematch, I wouldn't be surprised if she upped and retired herself, she taken alot of punishment and is 35 years old it doesn't get better from this point.

But if they insist like I said the only one I see improving in a rematch is Taylor like when she avenged her 1st lost lol. She tasted the power of Serrano now and knows what adjustments to make, she is the bigger woman after all. Great as Serrano is although I thought she won the fight she still kind of a 1 trick pony..
