He’s probably not much of an historian outside his relative , we have to remember even pro boxers today are more prone to be persuaded to buy into hype of media etc it’s the social media age . Real fans however who sit down watch fights look up records know you cannot be anywhere near a top 5 with 2 title defenses it’s just not going to happen with older fans who know the sport .

If he were to get undisputed then you can redirect the lack of resume to something but todays fans call Usyk Cruiserweight and Whyte , A.J bums etc so how is Fury getting all this credit from ?

Tyson Fury still has quite a few fights left in his career, if he decides to keep fighting, and he should defend the heavyweight championship.
Honestly I think that Fury is just saying that he's quitting while he's still on top, to get even bigger money offers to continue.
I like watching him fight, he's got heart, can box, can punch, take a punch, and he defeated the the most feared puncher in the division.
I can't tell you how glad I am that he shut that big mouth Deontay Wilder, I haven't had to hear that "Bomb Squad" mantra at the top of his lungs since Fury knocked him out.
Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy watching Wilder fight he had all of the same attributes that Fury has, except for the ability to take a punch.
They're both crazy in, and out of the ring, but Wilder had the bigger mouth, and I couldn't stand him yelling that mantra at the top of his lungs.
I actually wouldn't mind watching a fourth fight between the both of them, their fights have been that dramatic, every time they've fought.
