    Thats just HBO bull****.

When guys lose, fans get behind them even more to support them.

You can keep embarrassing yourself though.

Okay i'm done with you. I guess losers understand eachother.

Nonetheless, there is a lot of revisionist history around that fight. I watched a competitive fight between two top guys. That was the best DLH we had seen in awhile. Or since. That was high-level boxing. That entertains me.

After the fight, Merch gave it a 8.5/10.

side note: LOL @ 'empty promises'. What are we - schoolgirls?
Sorry to break it to you but what you think of a fight doesnt matter at all. What I think of a fight doesnt matter at all. Do you know why?

Because we are hardcore fans. I thoroughly enjoyed DLH/Mayweather because A. I hate Oscar, B. I was going for Floyd and C. look at who my second favorite fighter to watch is. But again, my opinion doesnt matter because it isn't the difference between whether Boxing becomes mainstream or not.

Its because of casual fans that boxers make MILLIONS, not thousands. Whether you want to admit it or not, "The World Awaits" was a snoozer to the casual fans.

Perhaps it was the crew I was with, but it didn't play that way at all. I was at a house party with a big projection. Maybe 25 people. It was "an event". You know how people normally peel out right aftyer the fight? Well, folks stuck around. It was a good, entertaining night. Even the girls didn't seem bored by the fight.

            Opinions vary. That's cool.

And i agree with you whole-heartedly about the mainstream/hardcore crowd. I have tried to say just that in my few weeks of posting here. Posters on this site look at the world through a hardcore fan's eyes.

My favourite fighter over the past decade has been Joel Casamayor. Enough said.
