You're a tad fixated on Floyd and his fight w Oscar.
Nonetheless, there is a lot of revisionist history around that fight. I watched a competitive fight between two top guys. That was the best DLH we had seen in awhile. Or since. That was high-level boxing. That entertains me.
After the fight, Merch gave it a 8.5/10.
side note: LOL @ 'empty promises'. What are we - schoolgirls?
Because we are hardcore fans. I thoroughly enjoyed DLH/Mayweather because A. I hate Oscar, B. I was going for Floyd and C. look at who my second favorite fighter to watch is. But again, my opinion doesnt matter because it isn't the difference between whether Boxing becomes mainstream or not.
Its because of casual fans that boxers make MILLIONS, not thousands. Whether you want to admit it or not, "The World Awaits" was a snoozer to the casual fans.Comment

Opinions vary. That's cool.
And i agree with you whole-heartedly about the mainstream/hardcore crowd. I have tried to say just that in my few weeks of posting here. Posters on this site look at the world through a hardcore fan's eyes.Comment
