Fight to WIN...or Fight to ENTERTAIN?

If you are a boxer, are you prepared to fight whatever style it takes to win? If you are faced with a stronger opponent, are you prepared to slow the fight down, make it tactical, stay on your bicycle...whatever?

OR, is your main objective to please the crowd? Are you going to go Gatti and just start trading - results be damned?

Is your primary responsibility to yourself and your record... or to the fans who pay you?

Here is Leonard vs Duran 2. In SRL-Duran 1, Leonard engaged and lost the fight.

This is a round from SRL- Hagler. MMH was the bigger man,so Ray stayed on his bike, potshotted and tied Hagler up, and shoe-shines occasionally

Pernell was robbed of a victory vs Chavez. It was widely known that Pea wasn’t a power puncher, and JCC has a granite chin. Whitaker stayed at distance, used the whole ring, pumped the righty jab, and engaged only occasionally

EXCITE ME... I want 36 minutes of action. I'll forgive a loss.

They'll never get it TS. If you're a prize fighter you always want to win because you want bigger checks for your next fight, for your family. Those who fight only to "entertain" or "pleasure the crowd", Bullshi*t, they're not skilled enough to fight to win so they settle for fighting for the fans.

            1000% grade A bull****.

You also contradict yourself. How can you make bigger checks when nobody likes your fighting style and buys your fights.

The bold is ridiculous. Its the other way around, runners and potshotters like Floyd don't have the skills and the will to stand and fight so they try to eek out points wins.

Thats why people respect and pay to see Morales, Barrera, Pac, Cotto, JMM and not Floyd.

A great fighter should be able to do BOTH!!

Huh? Please be accurate with your facts.

Floyd sold more than those guys you just named....and I'm not even talking about Oscar and Ricky fights.

                Because fighting to win=undefeated record

undefeated record=people wonder who could beat you

People wonder who could beat=people want to see you lose

People want to see you lose=people pay for your fights

                People pay for your fights=/

Should I break anything else down for you?

Lol Floyd's PPV numbers with Baldmor and Judah would be like Mega-Fight numbers for those guys he mentioned. No offense to them, they're all ATG fighters who gave it their all in every fight.
