In fact, speaking for myself, I'm not a "fan" but analyze the cold facts. The uppercut was a good one, but didn't separate Whyte from his senses. Had Fury caught his chin clean, Whyte would have fallen backwards immediately, as he did against Povetkin. The push, immediately following the punch, is evident, and after falling down hard Whyte basically quit. His delayed spaghetti legs remind me of Bruce Seldon after getting hit with a rather normal punch by Mike Tyson. There are ways to get out of a fight you're losing, Whyte chose this method.
The ending, whatever one wants to see, does not detract from Fury's absolute domination and deserved win. But most people, including the commentators, are in desperate need to aggrandize something that doesn't need to be. They look for brutality and conclusiveness. That would have happened for sure, had Fury not pushed his opponent away on instinct. Whyte was already finished, he would have been knocked out cold a punch or two later.

why bother even standing up if you didn’t want to continue lmao. The uppercut hurt him, and he tried to stand up to continue and couldn’t it’s simple as that. You guys like to assume it’s always something else. You think these guys are actors trying to do shake his booty.
