Fury saved Whyte's life

Fury only deprived himself of a more spectacular knockout win.
Contrarily to what most people want to see, the uppercut did NOT separate Whyte from his senses. The push comes immediately after the punch, and as far as I can see Whyte had his eyes still wide open after the uppercut. Fury didn't want to be grabbed and hold, which is what Whyte was going to do. He pushed him away, Whyte fell hard and instantly realized what was obvious since the very beginning, namely that there was no way he was going to win the fight.
When you're in the middle of a huge effort, and realize that even your best is useless, at that point your mind and body crumble. That's what happened to Whyte.
As I have written in other threads, this reminded me of Lewis vs Tyson. If you watch that fight's ending, it's conceptually the same as this one.Last edited by Tatabanya; 04-25-2022, 01:15 AM.Comment

Meh. Pushing and holding are both against the rules so they cancel each other out.
If Whyte clipped him and pushed him over for the finish I'd be saying the same thing.Comment

Only Mike was clearly beaten to submission by that time.Comment

Tyson was already a loser going into that ring. He owed Showtime a lot of money, and certainly the dose of his antidepressants was increased before the Lewis fight. They were afraid of another Holyfield vs Tyson kind of money-losing fiasco.
What's amazing, to this day Lewis talks about the win over Tyson's dead body as the defining moment of his career

Lenny wasn't prime either.
Also with that push, Mike was on his way down. Lenny was just hurrying it along.Comment

You need to up your troll game bud, it's getting boring now, come up with some new material.
Okie dokie
Whyte (AKA Shyte)
Wilder 3x (the one guy who is even sloppier than Mr Backfat)
Wlad (the most boringest snorefest in recorded title history)
Some bum named Otto who nearly blinded the 7' circus freak
Some bum named Schwarz
Some bum (this is going to be a running theme) named Pianeta
Some bummy midget named Seferi
Some bum named Del Boy 2x (everyone worth a damn beat him)
Some bum named Hammer
Some bum named Abell
Some midget named Cinningham
Some bum named Johnson
Some bum named Maddalone
Some bum named Rogan
On and on
Trust me, if this was anyone else's resume, you'd be laughing too
You call Wilder sloppy, yet you predicted him to KO Fury in all 3 fights lol.Comment
