There are mitigating circumstances involved. This guy asked for it, he was abusive and confrontational. Mike has a right to defend himself. Don't start a mess and there won't be a mess.

This. I think a lot of people have no idea how many people walk from assault cases or get little to no real substantive custodial time. Its really not worth antagonistic someone physically bigger than you because in many cases, unless you're seriously hurt, they'll likely walk away with a slap on the wrist. Seen this first hand.
