Well he was assaulted. If someone throws an object at you, unprovoked, that’s assault. If we’re talking about what happened between Will Smith and Chris Rock, yes that scenario calls for cooler heads. But we are talking about verbal harassment AND assault here. That’s different.

I worked in law enforcement and corrections as a CO and also a sheriff, I guarantee you Tyson did absolutely nothing wrong here and will not get charged for anything at all.

All Tyson needs to prove is that his behavior was justified under the circumstances, for it to be called self defense. Thanks to the video footage and eyewitness accounts, Tyson will be cleared of any wrong doing.

As I stated, to those who claimed Tyson will pay for this. He did nothing wrong, he acted accordingly. DA refused the case, no charges filed.

White privilege has its limits. When you are drunk and are recorded harassing and assaulting someone who clearly told you to leave them alone, on camera, and then you keep on and they defend themselves, you have no grounds to sue and the defender will see zero jail time.

While I know the law due to experience, this is just common sense. You don’t need to be a former LEO, lawyer, judge, prosecutor, or whatever, to know how this would have ended. The video is right there to be watched, it has nothing to do with Tyson being black. If it was Pacquiao or Usyk who did that, it would have resulted the same as long as there is footage.
