He did sign a 130,000,000 contract with DAZN, and it was with the understanding the the second fight would be the trilogy with GGG.
There is nothing emotional, and no no blathering going on in my statement, I was clear and based my opinion on the known facts.
As a fan I just wanted to see who would win between the both of them, I'm not a die hard fan of either of these fighters, I'm just a fan.
I stated my opinion on the failed attempt to make the Canelo versus GGG for there first fight, and then the disgraceful way Canelo avoided their trilogy for 4 years.
So there is no mystery in my mind about the Canelo versus GGG fights, or about the 130,000,000 dollar contract Canelo signed with DAZN.
Why would Canelo file a lawsuit against DAZN, if there wasn't a contract, or anything to get out of, your statement makes no sense at all.
The only mystery is why DAZN, didn't counter sue for breech of contract, and I'm not going to speculate because that would be guessing what happened on that part.

You are totally mistaken here. Please do some research. The understanding was between Oscar De La Hoya and DAZN. In fact this "understanding was a stipulation in the contract between GBP and DAZN. Alvarez and his people had no knowledge of that arrangement. In fact they were rebuffed by GBP when Alvarez asked to see the contract DAZN and GBP. It is for this reason and others that Golden Boy Promotions folded quickly when Saul filed his lawsuit against GBP and DAZN. Incidentally, DAZN could not sue Alvarez for breach of contract because there never was a contract between DAZN and Alvarez. There were only two contracts. One was between DAZN and GBP (Oscar) and the other was between Alvarez and GBP. The bottom line is that De La Hoya lied to both DAZN and to Saul Alvarez.

Stop defending the indefensible, there are plenty of other fighters he could've fought instead he chose Yildrim then, and GGG now.
He caught hell from boxing fans for not fighting GGG 4 years ago, Yildrim a couple of years ago, and now has a tentative fight scheduled with GGG 4 years to late.
You shouldn't defend a fighter to the extent that you dismiss their own blatant violations, coming up positive for Steroids, a dirty cheat in boxing.
I don't pay to see Canelo's fights because he picks, and choses who he fights, he's not a promoter he's a fighter, and he doesn't run boxing.
It's not who he wants to fight, it's who the fans want to see him fight thats important in the sport of boxing, and thats the way it is.
Now if you just stop looking into the mirror, maybe you'll stop seeing clown's.
You said he likes his opponents washed up, none of these guys I listed were washed up, I gave you several boxers who were not. You provided 2 and Yildrim was a mandatory defense who Canelo had to fight to keep his belt since he was unifying an entire division. Who has a stronger resume than Canelo right now? The man is fighting Bivol next who is undefeated and a world champ. Who is Benavidez fighting? Who is Charlo fighting? Who is Andrade fighting? Why is Canelo the one getting grief while these guys won't go near each other? When it comes to clowns you take the cake.

This fight is well past its expiration date. There's little to no interest in this fight among boxing fans as far as I can tell.

Canelo is a smart cookie he knew what time it was, he knew as well as the majority of the fans that the trilogy was what the fans wanted.
He can say he didn't know that the GGG 3rd fight was what he was basically signing up for, remember the steroids was in the cow meat that he ate.
According to him that is why he tested positive for steroid's, not because he knowingly juiced up, you know how many fans believe that story very few.
You stated your opinion professionally, and I respect your view on what transpired 4 years ago, lets hope that they deliver another memorable fight when they face off again.

                      stop inventing nonsense

DAZN were ******... they agreed to work with GBP because Hoya assured them that he would deliver the trilogy with Golovkin

the problem for DAZN was... they did not get those assurances in writing, and Hoya never even discussed that fight with Canelo LMAO

immediately after the rematch, Canelo said he had no interest in a trilogy because he did not want to give Golovkin another payday

DAZN learned a valuable lesson about the boxing game... if it aint in the contract, then it aint real

and Canelo's contract with GBP was clear... he selects his opponents, not Hoya...

that whole situation is well-documented, and was widely discussed at the time... so, stop inventing nonsense

that is why DAZN never sued Golden Boy

hey..... I can't wait to watch Canelo smash Bullshltkin's ugly face in
