He still has by far the best roster, can put on the strongest cards etc. I’ll happily admit that. How long it lasts without Sky though I’m not too sure but Matchroom is clearly still the #1 promotional outfit in the UK.

I actually used to like Hearn, thought he was a breath of great air from 2011-2013. But as soon as Sky reinstated the PPV model after Froch-Kessler 2 it quickly became obvious Hearn wasn’t willing to invest in the sport. The Matchroom/Sky model was all about take, take, take and milking the fans dry.

I’m behind Boxxer at the moment because they’re giving us fights like Eubank-Williams, Taylor-Catterall as part of the subscription package, just like Hearn was giving us Froch-Bute, Burns-Crawford 8-10 years back. But, I can guarantee the moment Boxxer takeover in the UK they’ll adopt the exact same business model Matchroom had with Sky. It’s how it’s been in the UK for decades.

Definitely. I just hope they don't do Eubank-Brook.

I hope Brook retires tbh, should go out on a high. Rumour has it he parties a little too hard and has blown a lot of his money though so I’m guessing he still wants another payday. I think the Eubank fight is pretty much a lock to happen in the Summer.

Yikes. I like the Benn fight for him more since it isn't entirely unwinnable like this one is. Retirement would have been ideal for him imo.

The only reason Eubank/Williams wasn't PPV was because of the backlash they got then they were about to announce it as PPV. Maybe they learnt from that... Maybe. But seems to me they have a PPV qouta to meet.

People with parents or grandparents from that country, yes, there's still roots and association. Anything more removed than that and nobody gives a ****

It was never planned to be PPV. That’s nonsense.

I don’t mind the Benn fight as long as it’s at around 150’ish. Brook can’t make 147 without taking a lot out of himself. If he wants to continue I’d like to see him face somebody from his era. Brook vs Danny Garcia at 154 would be a good matchup for example. Brook will 100% just go to the highest bidder though IMO.

It was widely reported, couple of examples here:

                      https://worldinsport.com/eubank-will...th-birmingham/

                      https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/boxin...-liam-25594505

I recall Adam Smith talking about it on iFl too. Said they considered it but changed their minds as 'they wanted to give to fans', basically got a ****ton of backlash.

Don't be shocked to never see Jnr on regular Sky again.
