Ok test time! Time to test that bias! Name for me two other boxers today with a better resume. GO!
Alvarez picks on weak champions then doesn't defend the belts unless it's against someone like Khan. Outside of a single disputed win over Golovkin, he has NOT ONE signature win or title defense over a great fighter like Mayweather, Pacquaio, De La Hoya, Hopkins, etc. He picks up belts against limited, forgettable belt holders.Comment

So who did Saunders beat at 168 to earn the Canelo opportunity.....I'll wait?
Yildrim was a stay busy fight though and happened two months after Canelo bea Callum Smith to win a World Title. Not only that but Yildrim was the first of three fights in 2021 for Canelo. What other big name is fighting 3 times a year?
Saunders was an undefeated world champ and Plant held the last title at 168.Comment

he had a multi fight deal with dazn in place? But didn’t he decline a 3 fight deal with pbc in November of 220 that would’ve included fights with plant , Charlo and Benavidez and said he didn’t want to be locked into a 3 fight deal? Now he just signed another 3 fight deal with dazn. Are you really this slow and not able to grasp exactly what’s going on here? Lmaooo y’all canelo fans must all be related and have the same first cousins as parents.
Haha your hate is so desperate it’s sad.
He had a multi fight deal with DAZN in place because he had done business with Hearn before. He wanted to make up for his lost fights in 2020.
Before that he was on an exclusive deal with DAZN so a fight with a Haymon guy wasn’t going to happen.
That’s why he fought 4 times in 12 months.
He quickly got 3 titles and then moved to work with Haymon for the last one. If Benevidez had handled his business he would have been the one. He can cry all he wants now but that’s his fault and his fault alone.
Haymon tried to set him up for that payday but he didn’t hold up his end.

A valid question. And I dont have bias, I have an opinion. The answer depends on how you judge resume though. If by belt holders beat, Alvarez reigns supreme. To his credit, he's also Ring Champ in 3 divisions...only Crawford has done that currently.
But MY criteria includes defending it. Because he makes the most money, Alvarez is the only fighter in the sport who can choose ANYONE. If he wants them, they fight. Period.
It's hard to argue against 3 Ring championships he's won but easier when we realize he refuses to defend them and just moves to a new belt - and the fans scream. But I'm going to give you this one - Usyk, Crawford & Inoue can make a case but you're right - Alvarez' three Ring championships shine pretty bright.
Guess what though? Youre also wrong in my opinion because his contemporaries are not who we're judging him against anymore. He's supposedly the P4P #1 and the cash cow...he's got a higher standard, he's being judged against history now: Mayweather, Pacquaio, De La Hoya, Hagler, Leonard and against past Mexican warriors like Chavez, Marquez & Sanchez. Those guys fought em all...they left no doubt. And despite the titles, Alvarez needs to pick up his game for his resume to compare to THOSE great ones.
Don't just beat weak belt holders for titles and no one will remember in 10 years who you beat to win it. Defend your titles that you won and not against 40 year olds who have never fought in the division before.
Defend...vacate...be stripped...or retire.
And that statement he made about he's a Mexican so he wont fight other Mexicans...well, we'll just let history judge that statement.Last edited by Baba K; 04-17-2022, 11:17 PM.Comment

Get your facts straight. Benevidez lost his title in summer of 2020. During that time Canelo was still on his original DAZN deal.he had a multi fight deal with dazn in place? But didn’t he decline a 3 fight deal with pbc in November of 220 that would’ve included fights with plant , Charlo and Benavidez and said he didn’t want to be locked into a 3 fight deal? Now he just signed another 3 fight deal with dazn. Are you really this slow and not able to grasp exactly what’s going on here? Lmaooo y’all canelo fans must all be related and have the same first cousins as parents.
Haymon wasn’t sending him to DAZN to lose that title.
Then Canelo sued to get out of his deal. He never said he didn’t have a problem with a multi fight deal as long as it was on his terms. He did the Smith fight on a one fight deal then the Ydirim/BJS fight in a 2 fight deal. Then he made a one fight deal with Haymon to get the last title. If Benevidez didn’t eat his way out of his strap that would have been his payday.
Benevides, and your ***** ass, are crying about not getting the fight when it’s all his fault. Now he has nothing to offer and Canelo has other, better, options.
Haymon offered him a big deal, DAZN offered him more. Maybe he should be mad at his promoter for not coming correct to get him what he wants.

I agree, time for Canelo to Drop, I doubt he is looking to take Mandatory's
In Fact I think after Undisputed THAT is when you award Franchise Champ or some type of designated Special Champ allowing you to do WTF you want while hitting the reset and making all the Belts Vacant, it is nothing to prove after you Undispute I guess it looks nice to take photos with all of them and to walk to the ring with your entire team holding up BeltsLast edited by sicko; 04-18-2022, 02:14 AM.Comment
