Ya, you may be right, he only looks tough on paper, lmao And Liston, that guy was feared by everybody, he was a murderous puncher. But i suppose that liston could not even punch through the paper that his title was fabricated on. Get real dude...Rockin'

The question was who gave Ali the hardest fight, I said neither.
Liston quit on Ali in the first fight and may have taken a dive in the second fight. Real impressive, whos clueless?

the liston and foreman fights were not ali's hardest fights. the guy who gave him the most trouble was doug jones, who he fought in 1963, cassius clay (as he was then) barely escaped with a 10 round decision.

        to mikehunt,

with all do respect, I was responding to your statement of Liston and Foreman being paper champions. If you would like to divert my question with a thoughtless jab, then I would like to drop a right hand over that thoughtless poke and ask you, how are Liston and Foreman paper champions.........Rockin'

I don't usually give history lessons.....

Other than beating a scared to death Floyd Patterson to win the title, who did Liston beat? No one. Other than his title defense againt a still scared to death Patterson, how many defenses did Liston make? None. After the second loss to Ali did Liston was basically never heard from again.

Foremans career looks alot like Listons. Big win over Frazier, great win over Frazier. After that?

Slip your lazy right, land devestating left hook and still champion!

Is it the reading or understanding what you have read that is the problem here? I have backed up my opinion each and every time I have responded tough guy.........

Trust me, you are no champion. I am on my feet. That hook only looked devastating because when it glanced my shoulder I happened to slip in the vomit that was on the canvas that I heaved up when I read your original comment. It does not matter if Floyd was scared or if you didnt like Floyd, the fact is that he was the champion and Liston took that from him. Besides, Liston beat who was out there at the time of him coming up. He took out Cleveland Williams twice I believe and that man was no tomato can. As for Foreman, taking out Wepner and Chuvalo may not be impressive at all to you but they were two of the descent guys on the scene. If knocking out Joe Fraizer is nothing of an accomplishment, or knocking him out twice means nothing than Fraizer must have not been anybody on the heavyweight scene. And we all know that Ken Norton wasnt **** either. The belt that you claim to wear is tainted and in your imagination.

Just last week my mother made me promise her that I would quit slapping ******s, therefore I must with draw from this rediculous debate with you. You win mike, your correct when you degrade George Foreman and Sonny Liston, they were ****.

I do believe that we have another paper champion on our hands. All hail boxing scene paper champion, Mikehunt.........Rockin'

I thought it was Antonio Inoki! It was his most frustrating fight and almost bored him to death Seriously, there was more to it than being an early MMA spectacle. Ali scouted Inoki a few days before the fight, and got scared as hell when he saw the grappling that Inoki was doing.
