    A few thoughts:
    1) I am literally amazed that there are people still willing to watch Floyd. In his prime, it was intriguing and entertaining to watch his skill level and natural talent (though his fights weren't often all that entertaining). But now, in his mid 40s, he looks average to me as far as fighters go.. I don't understand the draw, except to say maybe loyalty and nostalgia?

    2) Floyd saying that he is "milking" the sport is exactly why boxing finds itself in a bad place so often. I do believe floyd is largely responsible for the fact that the top fighters don't fight other top fighters--he showed how you can marked your undefeated status and (my opinion only) avoid facing certain fighters that you know would give you trouble (or face them at the right time....). I guess what frustrates me is that Floyd really doesn't seem to care about the health of the sport or even future fighters (just watch/listen to what Tank is saying about him). Someone as gifted and accomplished as he is, I would hope that he wants to preserve the sport and make it better, but I do not believe that he does.

    3) To change things in boxing, such as making the best fight the best and not allowing good fights to pass us by because someone holds out for more money, I think the media and the fans need to give things like this less attention.. I really do.

I'm sure I'm going to get roasted for my take here, but I don't care... I do believe that Floyd's outlook and his actions have hurt, and continue to hurt, the sport of boxing. period.

I think this is the famous landing pad they'll be fighting on

        Burj-Al-Arab-Tennis-Court-6-600x480.jpg

You wouldn't get me up there not because I don't want to see Floyd or his exhibition, but because I have an irrational fear of heights and I would be afraid of a strong gust of wind blowing me off or something. Anyways I can't see there being too much room for an audience, I can see a TV crew and commentator's booth but not much else.

Seriously man - my stomach and legs started to tingle just looking at that photo. Wouldn’t catch me anywhere near that event.

They’re not making meaningful fights with any sort of consistency and fans get bored.
No it the fans who complain about big fights not being made and yet when one does they don't support it and be asking for illegal streams. Complain about PPV prices, these are broke ass ppl who would never go to live boxing event either knowing what they have to pay. Boxing fans don't support any fighters or else numbers would be higher than illegal streams

could be a bit tricky with the venue, they have to get AJ off the helipad first

If he was as rich as he wants you all to think he wouldn’t waste his time with these.
                  Wouldn’t be worth the trouble.
                  He needs the money.

That's what my assumption is. He's going broke and needs the money. But isn't willing to take a fight with a proper opponent to risk losing.
