He was so close too. Will he make adjustments and win a rematch?
Can Lubin pull a Sergio Martinez in Fundora rematch?

Nah I think beating Fundora is much easier said than done. I was very confident Lubin would beat Fundora with speed, angles, accuracy but I think he’s very difficult to keep off. Eventually he’ll get to you and test your punch resistance and durability. Although Lubin has tremendous heart I’m not sure he’ll ever have enough durability to beat a guy like Fundora. Will he even be the same fighter after that beating too?Last edited by RJJ-94-02=GOAT; 04-11-2022, 03:10 PM.Comment

Not only that, but he's easier said than done to say all you have to do is box a guy like Fundora...If you can't slow him down or keep him off of you, then well, there's only so much boxing that is going to be done as Fundora will stay on your ass for the entire fight. Seems like you have to be a massive puncher and not just a good puncher to slow Fundora's output. He's essentially like a taller version of peak Hurd when he was beating guys like Lara and Harrison.Nah I think beating Fundora is much easier said than done. One mistake Lubin did make was abandoning his jab and he was able to have success and then was able to go down to the body. It only lasted a few rounds and then he was in an all out war after the KD in the 2nd round.
Lubin hit Fundora with his best shots and could not get it done. He's not going to be able to beat Fundora period.Comment

I believe we all were waiting around to see if Lubin would get the job done, lol. He's stopped guys like that in the same fashion but I assume Fundora is more of an animal than the other guys.
Some said Lubin wasn't following Cunningham's instructions...we must take that into account as well. Either way, he left it all in the ring.Comment

Completely agree, he has a very good chin and he never looked like slowing down. I think the sheer size of the guy makes it very difficult to keep him off too, it’s very difficult to stay out of range.

I honestly misjudged Fundora as a bit of a freak show, he’s a lot more effective than I thought, he’s a problem for anybody at 154 IMO.
I’d like to see Fundora vs Harrison next as I’m assuming Tszyu is next in line for the Castano-Charlo 2 winner.Comment
