Some judges do not score fights only on the quantity of punches, some like quality (power shots) more. Plus judges are not going off compubox they go off what they see. Compubox counts all shots, glove shots slaps and what compubox might count as a hit a judge might see as a Miss or a fighter actually rolling a punch. You don't just score fights on activity, its effective and clean punches and hard punches. Defense like head and waist movement also counts. These are pros not ammeteaures.
Who is greater MW, Golovkin or Hopkins?

Hopkins.
GGG convincingly destroyed Ring top 10 MW’s, and that’s great. GGG is clearly one of the best MW’s of all time. H2H, he would give the best MW Hall of Famers a very good fight and even a loss.
But what I saw in the Ian Gardner, Jacobs, Canelo and Derevyanchenko fights showed that GGG has his limits on who he looks great against. While his first loss to Canelo was controversial, his wins over Jacobs and Derevyanchenko were too. The Jacobs fight could have easily been a draw or even a win for Jacobs. I felt Derevyanchenko handily beat GGG. No doubt. Derevyanchenko straight up mauled GGG.
Canelo disfigured GGG’s face in the rematch. Ian Gardner lost convincingly but clearly frustrated the heck out of GGG with his movement and slippery defense.
Hopkins only convincing loss at MW after his first loss, was just a highly tactical fight versus the fighter of the decade.
Forget about MW, Hopkins career achievements and resume dwarfs GGG. MW is a moot point. Imagine GGG moving up to 175 in one leap and kicking Artur Beterbiev’s ass? The guy couldn’t even go up to the full 168 to fight Ward and Froch. He asked for 164 and 166lb catchweights for them. The fighters Hopkins took on, when he took on them, make GGG’s resume look like some obscure Asian fighter from Thailand. GGG didn’t take even half the risks Hopkins took.
Hopkins constantly took fights where he was going to be the underdog. GGG avoided fights where he was going to be the underdog.Comment
