The overwhelming majority of independent media outlets and fans (check the fan cards anywhere, including BoxRec) had GGG winning the 2nd fight too.Comment

Good showing from GGG especially after the 4th. Would be poetic justice for Golovkin to whip Canelo's ass for the 3rd time and end the hype train, drug cheat reign.Comment

He still has some pop but he can’t pull the trigger anymore with a high output.
At 168 he’ll be getting tagged early and often. Not sure a KO will happen but I could see his corner or the ref stepping in.
I don’t think GGG cares about taking another loss. He’s been thirsty for that retirement check for years. Be happy for Borat.
He’s definitely slower than before but GGG looked good considering his age and long layoff.
Murata fought a determined fight and I was impressed.Comment

The fan scorecards and media scorecards for the first two fights are pretty much identical. Both are 7-5, borderline 8-4 for GGG and that's how I scored both fights in real time and on rewatch (I had the first fight 8-4 and the second 7-5).Comment

I liked the fight. Lots of action and GGG came through in the end but it was fun while it lasted. Cong****, GGG!Comment

Not a bad output through 9. If it went all 12, he would've been around his normal output of recent years, which is still really good for 40 and 16 months out of the ring. Also, I wonder what accounted for Golovkin "missing" almost 400 punches. Murata might have lasted as long as he did by having, according to him, a thicker skull than normal.Last edited by AKAcronym; 04-09-2022, 04:32 PM.Comment

Lol, fans who hate Canelo? He's the most popular fighter on the planet by a wide margin.

GGG was getting hit too much and looked gassed by round 3. He doesn't seem to have the same power in his punches either since Murata was eating a lot of the punches and barely looked affected. It was a bad stoppage imo and he only got knocked down like that because he got a little carried away. Canelo is going to slaughter GGG if they do indeed fight a 3rd time, I see nelo knocking him out in like 5 or 6 rounds.Comment
