GGG is going to get beat up badly by Canelo. He was getting lit up with big shots and hurt to the body by a limited and slow Murata. Canelo is one of the best body punchers and that's how I think he stops GGG. GGG has a great chin and will get beat up but won't go down from a head shot but he doesn't take body shots well and I see him stopped by the body attack or the ref or corner stops the fight from him taking too much unnecessary abuse.

Cong**** to Golovkin, he turned it on after a sluggish start and got the tko.

However, have to say I can't see him beating Canelo, or a guy like Benavidez at super middleweight.

He does seem to be more vulnerable to the body, and has slowed with his hand speed and movement, although the power is still there.

Golovkin was always vulnerable to the body.

Go back and watch the Jactbs fight and the Canelo fights and you'll see.

He is happy to walk through head shots but when he gets hit to the body he always winces and steps back.

Respectfully, I don't think even at 40 years old he is capable of being sparked, but I can definitely see a referee stoppage due to cumulative punishment. It would break my heart seeing GGG destroyed like that.

yeah TKO definitely I think GGG still has one more fight left in him and then he should retire maybe 2, charlo vs ggg or move up and fight canelo at 168

How was this fight vs Murata different from the second Canelo fight?

This fight went the exact way as the second installment albeit vs a less durable opponent

remember canelo has to win against Bivol at 175 and then lose the the weight back to 168 and fight ggg by years end ? that pretty heavy tough task to do

Golovkin is definitely faded and more vulnerable than ever, but he's still damn good. Good enough to beat Canelo at 168? No, I can't see it. Good enough to beat anybody else at 160? Maybe, I'd probably still favor him against any current MW

Murata didn't fight smart, he tried to fight toe to toe with GGG, mostly to please the Japanese supporters, he still had a lot of success, just got worn down, fair play to him. GGG won't beat and elite canelo, he is vulnerable to the body, plus needs to take rests.

it was ring rust and by the the 5th round he got his groove back and figured him out

He got his groove no doubt but it seems like GGG can't fight for a whole 3 minute round at this point.
