Just keeping some perspective here: Kell Brook is not an elite fighter. His claim to fame is narrowly beating Porter. He had moved up to 160, then back down to 147 to fight Spence. This was after having his orbital bone broke by GGG. It wasn't a prime Brook that Spence fought.

So which top fighter was around at that time who Spence should have fought instead?

What if it was your mother driving home from work at night, and she's a ho****e nurse who lives to help others. Her day is rough as f**k, doesn't get paid well, drives an old car, but she still keeps going every day to put others in front of herself. She leaves work at night, tired and ready to go home and then this drunk a$$hole comes barreling down the road at over 100mph in his fancy sports car and plows into her, killing her? His car probably has better safety so he will survive the incident and she won't. Yeah, not so funny.
