He promised “Mexican Style” in the rematch and instead Canelo waited for him in the middle of the ring and GGG backed up. He didn’t want it bad enough.
Borat will be crying robbery the rest of his life because he came up short in his biggest moment.

GGG made one of the more memorable late-fight stands in recent memory in that 2nd fight. He came up short on the cards, but he left it in the ring.

It has been shown by judges, time and time again, that they don’t want to see a jabbing contest. If you are going to throw jabs, make sure you are also outlanding your opponent with power punches. That’s what judges want to see.

GGG, for whatever reason, decided it’s okay to just throw jabs with the occasional power punch landed. He has never fought anyone else like that before. He decided to do that in his biggest fight. If it ain’t broke, don’t try to fix it. Why not just go all out and throw power punches like you do in pretty much every single fight? He lost that fight all on his own.

The last fight that Canelo was outlanded in the power punch category, in more rounds, it was vs Mayweather Jr in 8 out of 12 rounds and Mayweather got the win. Coincidentally, aside from the 114-114 score, the two other judges had Mayweather winning approximately 8 rounds.

This is how judges usually score. There was nothing different from Canelo vs GGG. They looked for who was landing the more telling blows, more power punches in more rounds. It’s very simple. If a fan disagrees with this, too bad. That’s what they look for. They do not care if all you are landing is jabs and backpedaling. GGG should have known better. He is experienced enough to know what lost him that fight. He is not ****** and he should stop pretending to be ****** and clueless as to why he didn’t get the decision.

I do agree, but... the other 3 official scoring criteria favored Canelo even more

defence - Canelo... Golovkin missed over 1000 punches in those fights... not even close

ring IQ - Canelo... one guy got his game going in that fight, and the other guy did not... not even close

effective aggression - Canelo... he imposed himself on Golovkin, landing cleaner / harder punches

the... "Golovkin managed to climb back into the fight, and got the edge late"... people... are mostly fans who see whatever they want to see... and who do not use, understand, or apply, the official criteria... and the... "Golovkin won easy"... people... are just the usual idiots that nobody takes seriously

Lots of good comments on this board today.

It's good for boxing to reward power punches. And it makes sense because that's more damaging. All of us would rather eat 3 jabs than one big power punch.

In the Canelo rematch, GGG fought differently than he had in any other fight including the first Canelo fight. That's a fact.

Canelo landed 20 of the 25 hardest punches. Not necessarily a fact but my opinion.

the only reason why PED fans hate Golovkin so much is because deep down inside they know he won both fights.
That is why they do not show any hate for the Fieldings, plants, etc of the world.

There was nothing to rebut. You do not know this sport. The only proper response was to remind you that you are a dirty, stinky bastard.
