I fail to understand the hate here. Canelo is fighting at 175 against one of the best champions in the division after unifying at 168.

You wanted Beterbiev? We'll probably get it before the end of 2022. Benavidez? He shouldn't have lost the title twice due to drugs and weight when Canelo made his intent clear to unify the division. Even if he manages to put them together as his next two fights many would find a reason to downplay it.

Canelo made his intent clear to unify at 168 after Benavidez got stripped. Not before. Matter of fact, he petitions for the wbc title shot just 3 days after Benavidez got stripped but never expressed any interest before then. No proof he would’ve wanted to unify if Benavidez was still champion.

The only thing Bivol offers is another win to put on Canelo's resume. I'm disappointed that Canelo signed to face this handpicked opponent. He should have fought either GGG next or some other opponent who's name has constantly been linked to his. But I get it. It's easy money for Canelo - a whole bunch of easy money.

What is the implication here? That Canelo would not have moved to 168 of Benavidez didn't lose his title (twice)? He would have just stayed at 160 or jumped right to 175? He had no problem facing Kovalev, Smith, Plant, Saunders, or now Bivol (and potentially Beterbiev) but for some reason he is terrified for the first time in his career of Benavidez?

I don't buy it. And I don't think you do either. Benavidez screwed himself over twice with bad decisions and now Canelo may have moved on to 175 for good. If he moves back down to 168 it's definitely the fight to make. If not it's completely on Benavidez for lacking the discipline and maturity to keep his leverage for a Canelo fight.

Not sure why most think Beterbiev and Benavidez are bigger threats. Both are there to be hit. Bivol gonna surprise alot of people. Canelo gonna get jabbed, outboxed and countered all night for a 7 to 5 decision. Upset coming 5 weeks!

Here we go again. No doubt this poster is an American and one of those Americans who automatically believes American Boxers must be superior to foreign fighters purely on the fact that they are American.

And I've said many times the vast majority of Canelo haters are American because some Americans can't stand to see non Americans being the cream at the top of the sport so they feel the need to try belittle what Canelo has done or is doing.

LOL, who’s he supposed to fight? Beterbiev has 17 fights and is going for his best win to date vs that same Joe Smoth next. Bivol, Betterbiev, GGG, and Benevidez are the 4 toughest fights out there he could take and he’s got 2 of the 4 on deck, and then will likely move onto the other 2 next year.

Is Bivol Marvin Hagler? No, but he’s still a great fight to take. There’s not anyone at 160 to fight. He’s cleaned out 168, so who is left?

I'd put Charlo in there, along with Andrade. Just because you don't like how they fight, doesn't mean they don't pose a threat to Alvarez. And I know they haven't looked all that great in some of their fights, but it happens to almost every fighter. Canelo didn't look great against Lara.

And most BOXING EXPERTS, not FANATICS, give Bivol zero chance of beating Canelo. But his fanatics are steady trying to build Bivol up as this serious challenge to Alvarez. His best win is over an average at best, Joe Smith Jr. Oh, I know, Bivol has power and can move. Whatever, he has average hand speed, very little professional experience, 19 fights. Yet, again, Canelo's Stans are claiming Bivol is in his prime. Really, after 19 fights, he's ready and on Canelo's level? Canelo is actually a good fighter, if not great, but his opponents as of late have been soft. Most of them, Euro bums.
