Posters and their favoritism to certain promoters

Why exactly are certain posters stuck on loving and or hating promotional companies. I see people on here constantly downing PBC or Dazn or Top Rank because they are fans of 1 certain company and according to their outlook all others are ducks or protecting their fighters or something ****** along those lines. I personally watch pretty much all boxing shows no matter who's platform it's on and would prefer to see the best fighting the best. When I dont see it I cant blame one certain platform because the whole system is flawed. I am a true boxing fan and enjoy seeing the fights we do get and when a cross promotion does happen like Fury and Wilder recently it literally proves they can work together providing everyone involved and I mean everyone isnt greedy. Can someone explain what I'm missing here? How is any one of them better than the other. They all need to force more cross promotions so we can see the best available fights.

They all have their faults, some more than others and they’re all capable of making great cards once in a while, again some more than others.

However, one thing I’ll give to Haymon/PBC and Arum/TR is they will work together to make big fights happen now and then such as Fury-Wilder 2 & 3 and Crawford-Porter for example. Hearn/DAZN on the other hand seem incapable of doing so yet always try and play the victim as if everyone else is the problem when actions clearly suggest otherwise. If these three outfits could just put their ego’s aside and make the best fights more often there would be far less dissension between fanbases.

Let’s be clear- this started whenever anyone defended pbc against the ridiculous posts stating they are cancer to the sport and they need to be eliminated.

When a poster who said this for cornered, they called the poster a PBC or Haymon groupie or fans to try and shift from having to tell us honestly why Haymon was the only promoter they wanted out despite them all behaving the same way. I mean it was fairly obvious but that is for another thread.

I thought the majority of the attacks against PBC were motivated by something else so I posted out against them.

The same thing was said about anyone that didn’t like DAZN or pointed out the negatives. Since there as no way to refute those claims, the had to attack the poster as a fan or groupie in hopes of signaling to others.

Finally, that label was given to anyone that talked about business. Anyone in their right mind should be able to understand why pbc stopped working with everyone after hbo cut ties.

The same people celebrating that then watched pbc get successful on their own and they decided they were the problem.

Each promoter and network has put on good fights and bad ones. There are problems with each. No one is perfect.

Yeah I never understood the the whole promotional cheerleading thing. They all have flaws and prefer in house fights so there's no point in talking down on one and praising another.

boxers, refs, judges, fans, countries, regions, promoters, orgs, race, commentators, all in the cross hairs at times or all the time & for many different reasons or the same reason all the time, every promoter is annoying at times, personally i like slagging off de la hoya for some reason, the guy is hilarious i think at times

Hearn is still the best in the business. I wish Fury works with Hearn instead of 100 year old Arum and unknown Warren.

That’s weird when De La Hoya, Hearn, Arum have all been on video on more than one occasion stating that only PBC refuses to work with them. That they can work with everyone else when it makes sense. So odd that.

The unification between two prime guys in Hooker(DAZN/Hearn) v Ramirez(TR) was nothing compared to the awesome fights that were a second attempt on a cherrypick gone wrong and a guy proclaiming retirement with nothing to lose. Truly. Amazing.

Isn’t the unification between Golovkin-Murata also have DAZN & TR in there? Can’t be. DAZN doesn’t work with others.

Actions > Words man. PBC have PROVED they’ll work with TR and Vice versa, Matchroom is yet to do so. Like them or not they did right by the sport with Fury-Wilder and Crawford-Porter.

Neither Hooker vs Ramirez or GGG-Murata are co promotions, do your research on them. The first was solely promoted by Hearn and the GGG fight is Teiken promotions I think and will be solely distributed by DAZN neither Bob or ESPN are involved. It’s like saying Frank and Eddie are working together on Fury-Whyte when it’s all Frank and he’s freezing Eddie out completely.

Lol. I didn’t realise your criteria was only co-promotions. Yes. PBC are way more **** about letting anyone off their island. We all know. Shouldn’t have mentioned Porter-Crawford then neither as that was no co-promotion. PBC did exactly ZERO promotion for that fight.

It is just a trend or behavior in some boxing circles.

I doubt this was going on in the 80's & 90's etc.

I honestly could not care less, although the exposure and engagement of some boxing promoters is good.

Maybe in past decades, very rarely would people get to see interviews with promoters in a high frequency.

Only now and again, closer to one of their fights.
