Sorry, but outside of Canelo, his resume is pretty weak. Brook and Jacobs are his best wins.

It isn’t entirely his fault. He was at one point in time the most avoided man in boxing.

Canelo owns his 0, legacy, and middleweight titles on his mantle for all time.
The only thing Canelo owns are tubs of clenbuterol tablets. What matters is the very first time they fought - Golovkin should've at the very least walked away with a split decision win but its common knowledge to the world Golden Boy payed off Adelaide Byrd AND Don Trella (the clown awarded GGG's most dominant round, round 7 to Canelo?? to make a 114-114 scorecard... even Byrd gave that round to Golovkin). Canelo was so insecure in himself about the rematch he then cheated and the rest is history...

If GGG was such a pushover for Canelo why has it taken him 4 years and a 40 year old version of Golovkin for him to finally entertain the idea of a trilogy. When the public was demanding it and even when his own promotor was pushing him to take the fight he didn't want to know! I wonder why...

If GGG was the guy you groupies said he was he would have knocked Canelo out like he was predicted to do.
He wasn’t up to the task so you can take those baby ass tears elsewhere.

          Barely beat natural "welterweight" Brook.

Lil G's career is Canelo. He made millions $$$ thanks to Canelo. He will get his retirement payday in their third fight thanks to Canelo.
Ok the Derevy fight I'll give you alot of people thought he won but c'mon man the Jacobs fight? No freakin way you can score that for him. I mean I can see maybe a draw if he didn't get floored but that KD was icing on the cake. Clear Golovkin win there.

GGG has one of the worst resumes for a supposed ATG. He was lucky that HBO built him the way they did.

Nobody said he was some sort of knockout monster - that was the way he was perceived by broadcasters and the media... Primarily he is a highly technical and methodical boxer who just happens to be heavy handed hence the knockout streak. Golovkin adapts to the the opponents style; when the opponent is bigger he fights cautiously (Martin Murray lasted until the 11th round & Jacobs went the distance) and when dealing with technical guys like Derevyenchenko he fights more cerebrally.

Boxing is a result business... Its not about KO's you moron. The world saw Golovkin DEFEAT Canelo on points in their first and only meaningful encounter before Canelo decided to use drugs. Was Canelo up to the task of KO'ing Golovkin? Even on clenbuterol he could'nt put a dent in him. Ginger boy couldn't even drop Jacobs - even pillow fisted Sergio Mora dropped Jacobs FFS...

GGG isn't super duper technical boxer. Even Abel Sanchez remarked that. He is pressure KO machine. Most of the boxing fans was rooting for Golovkin KO in the both fights. He couldn't beat drained Canelo at his comfort zone and got beaten badly in the second fight. Lil G is HBO hypejob.

Resume is a marketing tool used largely by promoters and managers to fool "boxing fans" and casuals. Example is Canelo's resume - yes on paper it looks amazing but upon closer inspection there are many asterix's to be found, aged fighters, catchweights and periods where it was probable he was juicing! The only way of truly evaluating a fighter is the eye test; by that I mean how the fighter performed in a fight and how good/shot his opponent was.

You can’t be serious. GGG was a heavy favorite to win and a lot of money was on him winning by KO.
If you were around here at the time there was a lot of talk about Canelo not taking the fight as he wouldn’t last 5 rounds. That GGG would walk him down and KO him easily.
Now years later we have a lot of revisionist history and it’s pretty hilarious.

People would look at Ggg alot different if he would have Sturm, Cotto,Pavlic& Martinez on his resume, however for some reason none of those guys were interested.
