And Margarito didn't deserve a fight with Floyd Mayweather...**** outta here
Don't be a dumb ass. Of course Margarito deserved the fight, he was the longest reigning welterweight titlist up until the Williams loss.

Floyd did not want the Margarito fight because he left 8 mil on the table. Why didn't Floyd revisit that offer/fight afterward or try to fit him in before or after Judah/Baldomir? 8 mil is nothing to scoff at and not revisit.

He retired a month before the anticipated Cotto-Margarito fight to avoid the cruzification underway for fighting a rematch with De La Hoya and having the nuts to mention a Hatton rematch.

That's the only stance I'll say where he cud have had a fight made...but he wasn't well known and his level of opposition wasn't something to note of...

I don't know why ppl keep bringin up the $8 million when he made the same amount fighting Baldomir...

And Floyd and DLH's rematch was being negotiated in January 08 well before the Cotto-Margarito fight...

He only mentioned the Hatton rematch if he beat Pacquiao and that was well after Cotto-Margarito...

And all politics aside...do people actually think Margarito could beat Floyd Mayweather?

Everything in Floyd's style is very wrong for Margarito...

Margarito has to wear an opponent down...you can't wear down what you can't hit...

Floyd doesn't do business with Bob Arum...I don't believe Floyd feared Margarito...

Margarito was just hung on to by those who dislike Floyd...first it was Margarito, then it was Cotto, then it was Mosley, then it was Pacquiao...

People just wanna see Floyd lose....end of story

              You *****s are ******ed.

If that was the case Floyd is ******er than we all thought for turning down an easy 8 mill to hit a punching bag.

He never called out cotto you bum!!!!! let alone freitas in his prime!!! Freitas was too strong and almost just as fast. He has always avoided great fighters (not castillo or Corrales) Every one else are at best b minus opposition. Gatti, de la Hoya (old), The caveman from Argentina (Baldomir), and Zab judah in which the caveman beat and Cotto destroyed. Him and Cotto will never figth for 2 reasons. 1st Bob Arum 2nd Cotto has taken punches from stronger and bigger opponents ( Includes Margaritos Cement Filled Gloves ) and also beat guys that are fast like Judah and Shane Mosley that have more punching power than floyd!!!!!

I know he made 8 mil vs. Baldo, but if he was about his money, he'd have revisited that offer or tried to fit that in before the Baldy fight. The offer was made right after the Judah fight in April, Mayweather fought Baldomir in November.

Floyd was getting hammered in articles from everyone when Cotto-Margarito was signed, he knew he was going to be almost forced to fight the winner.

Mayweather was talking about the Hatton rematch long before Hatton-Pacquiao. I think he even mentioned it before Hatton-Lazcano.

not unless he retires and waits for them to lose! or wait he already beat the welterweight "champ" named baldomir. what more do you people want! baldomir was the lineal champ and one of the best fighters i've ever seen leave floyd alone!
