Unfortunate for Canelo, he’s in an era where it just sucks. I think he’s damn good but I don’t see him whipping Prime Winky Wright, Sugar ray or Hagler. All at 154 of course.

      - - Don't see Stinky whooping Hearn, Sugar Ray, or Marv, either. See how easy you made that?

But I could see Lady Lara, Androgynous, and the Charlene sistas stinkin' up the ring wif Stinky

That is why Alvarez is a level below those guys in terms of pure ability. But he is still a great fighter, if somebody ranked him pound for pound number 1 right now ? I would have no issue.

Hasn't stopped GGG fans to claim his as an ATG.....
Whatever complaints a so called fight fan has against Nelo would reduce GGG to a ball of lint.

I just to call Canelo a bit flat footed. He also used to throw a combo and step back and reset each time. It was almost like a tick. He fixed both of those things.
His head movement has improved greatly, it’s exceptional now. His defence is now one of the best in the sport.
The only thing I’m not sure of is if he can throw over fifty punches a round if he needs to consistently., He hasent had to yet though.
The way he loses is if he starts slow. Loses first few feel out rounds. Maybe splits the middle rounds and maybe even splits the late rounds. Then you’d need judges that are willing to call it fair. Hard task. He has stroke and deserves it if you follow precedent. A bad cut would maybe have to happen also,
He throws 90mph fast balls with all his punches, and he has all the punches. He pummels downstairs and gets fighters to bend down to protect their bodies. That’s when they start ducking into uppercuts.
He does everything exceptional. 12 rounds is a long time to go with him.
Tyson had style, but Canelo is a complete fighter. He’s the blueprint for the modern era. Hey I’m a huge Floyd fan too, but unless you have his reflexes I just don’t see his style being feasible.

Nelo was smooth on his feet in his 1st fight with GGG.
In the rematch, Nelo sat down on his punches and was willing to exchange more.
He probably thought being more of a puncher would suit him for where he was going.

That's the great thing with Nelo. He is effective when boxing or trading.
He also has enough defensive skills to avoid flush shots.
              IMHO, he's the complete fighter.

Forget them. He would get smashed by Kessler.

He is flat footed, needs to be set to fire his shots, fights very 1 pace, with low output, and slows down too much in the championship rounds. That is why Floyd took him to school and would any time they fought. He is a good fighter but not great. He struggles to beat any quality fighters. Many people had the plant fight very close or even, and Plant is nothing.

Regarding the bold, he can switch it up if he chooses.
His pace is effective enough to make his opponents not want to test that pace.
The more they put out, the more Nelo puts out. And they don't want that.

                      Nelo is testing himself.
More than that ''other guy'' can say.
