But Floyd did say in the past that he falked to Top Rank about Tank v Loma…

Tank then went on a rant on Twitter saying that his own promoters are trying to get him beat.

Seems that time Floyd called his bluff about wanting to fight the best fighters and Tank didn’t want it.

Still, Tank is older now, he used to get lumped in with Haney, Lopez etc but Tank is a fair bit older, not too far off 30 soon. He must know the time to make money is now and those big fights aren’t happening if he stays where he is.

He had a very tough fight against Isaac Cruz, couldn't knock him down. Is his power perhaps a tad overrated?

But he's an excellent fighter. Does this mean he's leaving Mayweather promotions and becoming a free agent? It would be less difficult for him I think, with the weight divisions he fights in, compared to Crawford.

PBC has a number of big name welterweights and the Charlo brothers, so Bud ain't getting them, unless he accepts a low offer and perhaps a multi-fight contract with them.

Yeah, but Tank was very young at that time, so I agreed that he shouldn't have fought Loma! However, not fighting Teofimo after he beat Loma was mistake #1! Not getting back to Garcia, after the Pacquiao flop was mistake #2! Fighting Barrios and Pitbull instead of Haney is mistake #3! This isn't 147, or 154! PBC does not have enough titles, or talent @ 135, for Tank to stay "in-house!"

I honestly don’t get how Mayweather makes money with Tank on PPV’s, while Bud gets gets nothing but complaints from his old promoter.
I don’t like that Tank hasn’t fought anyone that’s a TRUE threat and he’s 27 years old but if Mayweather is willing to go broke doing so. Let him. Experience and talent is a tuff combination to whip.

It’s always the same story ain’t it? The guy is a monster puncher and anyone that gets hit (which is everyone) will get KO’d by him. Until they actually fight a top guy and suddenly “maybe we overrated his power”.

I remember the good old days when Errol Soence had Thomas Hearns-esque power. Now the word is he’s damn near feather-fisted that couldn’t hurt a lightweight.

Wilder would KO the top guys if he ever fought them doe, for sure.

It is amazing how the guys that hate pbc, Floyd, and Haymon will run with any negative story posted. Never even check to see if it’s legit.

Now if you post a story from a credible site about the behavior of guys they love- Loma dropping the belt, Manny getting stitches, Canelo testing positive, Munguia avoiding pbc, Crawford re-signing with TR, they will deny it being fact or defend it.

              Strange isn’t it?

Tank would be better off dealing directly with pbc rather than being tied to just TMT. A bit more ability to take on those outside. Problem is that the “anti-tank” people running their pathetic sucks are against him for who he is aligned with. If he were to go with Hearn or arum they would audde lt be the biggest tank supporters in the world….call him an “honorary brit” like they did Haney prior to his white boy comment when they soured on him. Dump Mayweather, tank, but stick with pbc….Haymon is the way to go. Hearn is a British domestic level promoter. You’re market is the USA and particularly cities with heavy ethnic black American populations

They went after Ryan Garcia and he’s not an in-house fighter. Ryan’s also the only fighter big enough to even consider doing any kind of cross promotion with. Teo, Haney, and Loma aren’t big enough which is why neither of them are viable options right now. Unless one of them wants to come over to Showtime.
Loma not big enough? Now thats some hilarious *****!! Wont happen anyway…like Pbc/Floyd admitted - They steered Davis away from Loma. And are still steering him in the opposite direction and lining up endless B-level Hispanic fighters in ppv mismatches. Wont be ready for Loma until he hits his 40s.

I agree , all if the promoters do it , and it sucks no matter who does it. It robs the fans and the fighters of great fights. These greedy fuc$ers can't be happy with making half the money they want to make all of it and control the whole sport. As much as I love boxing , there's a lot to hate about it outside of the ring. Have a great day and thanks for your well thought out response.

Loma “dropping” the belt and fighting undefeated bigger more powerful Lopez….doesnt fly with your narrative.
