Dubois should pull out of the Bryan fight.

King has now announced he’s going to court over the split so no doubt this will drag on for months. Dubois is 25 this year and is entering a crucial stage of his development. He needs to be active.

Additionally, what does a fight with Bryan really do for him? It’s likely a knock over job for a meaningless belt that nobody really cares about. This feels like a massive waste of time for Dubois.

Couldn't agree more, if this was all going to be straight forward I'd be fine with it but that charleton Don King running things it's all fishy and flakey and messy and he needs cutting out of the sport like a wart.

Dubois is better off going ANY other route than that.

Why can't Don just die already?

Cold but it would be beneficial for the sport no doubt. Don prevents more fights than he promotes these days.

It’s crazy he still has so much pull with ABC’s, certainly the WBA, he’s either calling in old favours or has some serious dirt on the Orgs. Probably both.

Agreed, it's not like Don will pay him anyway.

Who cares, neither of these guys will ever be a real champion.

A win over Bryan gets him a mandatory spot against the unified champion , what do you what does the fight get him ?

It’s also a very easy win compared to any other mandatory holder so why wouldn’t he want the fight ?

I was talking in terms of development, I don’t think Bryan asks any questions of Dubois.

Even so, Bryan has sat on the Reg/interim belt for a while, so did Chagaev, so did Charr. Did any of them get a shot?

The last WBA regular HW champion to get a title shot was Povetkin and that was 9 years ago.

With that being said, I desperately want somebody, anybody to beat Bryan and take him and Don out of the picture. Just need the WBA to force him to fight ANYONE in their top 15, because I think they ALL beat him

I don't know about that. Despite his miserable showing against Joyce, I still believe Dubois has the tools to be a force long term.
