Lennox Lewis has to be the worst commentator

I’m watching Berlanga vs Coceres and he’s talking Berlanga’s up jab. He’s asked to explain what that is and he says:

‘it’s like a regular jab but you turn it upside down’

Ward has a tendency to make things about himself. He doesn’t seem to like it when people are in awe of something he didn’t have have as boxer. Dynamite power, insane durability etc

Unlike Lewis he is coherent and able articulate himself well

Froch is a far better commentator than Lewis. Put a mic infront of a rock and it has more personality and insight than Lennox "is he hurt?I think he's hurt" Lewis.

Overall boxing commentators are terrible these days 'Well they are not to my liking'. But I have no issues with Lennox Lewis.

The guard of HBO was great. And Sky Sports Boxing old school commentators were good as well.

Barry Mcguigan, Ian Darke, Jim Watt. These commentators where familiar, they brought authenticity and original intensity.

Jim Lampley, Roy Jones Junior, Larry Merchant. The Guard of HBO, had a prestige and eloquence about their work 'George Foreman was also a great commentator.

I find that commentators and boxing presenters are very tacky these days, things seem shallow 'Prestige seems to have decreased'.

This!!! I’m a fan of Ward but you’re spot on. It’s like during Taylor-Catterall he kept referencing his fight with Kovalev and how he got off the floor and won.

              - - Lewie may be more articulate in his useless inanity, but both dum as a suppository in use and both terribly insecure in their modest placement in the Pantheon of Greats.

U boys listening to boxing commentary during a fight half the reason U monkeys don't know how to score a fight and throw 2 year old screaming, kicking, turning blue tantrums after every fight.

Lennox is quite a bore to listen to. I can picture him half asleep when he does commentary.

I forgot what HBO fight it was, but I remember the fight being a total mismatch and Lampley asked Lennox his opinion, and he was like, "he's gonna have to throw some punches..." Lmao

I expect more insight from an ATG Heavyweight champ.

I like Lennox. He offers unintentional comic relief.
