Sorry bro misunderstood… ya i really like how Team Hughie took a step back & fought a few fringe/gatekeepers like Wach & Hammer. He was always matched tough from an early age. He easily handled domestic trialhorses then would jump to contenders like Parker, Pulev & Povetkin. There was no in between guys. He went from dud to stud all the time. Now he has decent wins over 3 fringe gatekeepers in Rudenko, Hammer & Wach. Now he can look at taking another step up & Helenius is next.

Shame, like his cousin he's a tough lad.
Like his cousin did, he needs a complete change of team behind him.
Personally I think Peter Fury is one of the best trainers in the UK.

Helenius and Dubois are both winnable fights for Hughie.

Some people clearly have not seen Hughie Fury 2.0. We all saw in 1.0, shades of Ali when he outboxed Parker but got robbed. But in the battering of Wach, and the brutal TKO of Hammer, we have seen shades of Wilder. Nash out.

I agree completely. I think Hughie is actually a pretty decent boxer. When he fought Parker, Pulev and Povetkin I thought it was a step too far, too fast. He was still in his early 20s at the time.

“Other options? Michael Hunter, Chris Arreola, maybe Dominic Breazeale”

            Clean gutters...or watch Hughie-Arreola...

            Yeah, gutters.

Helenius would be interesting, I think Dubious is a bad match up for Hughie.

I like Hughie - Helenius fight. Hughie wins this.

Helenius is still the guy that got beaten up by Duhaupas and Washington.

To be fair he was beating Washington fairly easily until he got caught. Duhaupas was not shop worn at that point & was in some good fights. Those 2 losses set him back a few years but he is healthy & coming off 2 big wins over Kownacki so he has some momentum going but i think Hughie’s wins this by UD.

Tyson did beat Wlad under Peter Fury, Hughie’s trainer, so I don’t think that’s the problem

Power isn’t the problem, power isn’t everything. We just saw Usyk school AJ.

The problem is Hughie simply isn’t as talented as Tyson and hasn’t got the same level of grit to bite down and grind out a win if needed. In Hughie’s losses, he wasn’t outclassed in ability per se, he just didn’t leave it all in the ring. I’m not sure you can teach that. He’s really not a bad fighter at all, he’s a solid enough competitive heavyweight. It’s just he’ll always be compared to his cousin who is the best of his generation
