Yes he is. If Canelo beats Bivol without a bogus split decision, call me a fan. His "draw/win" against a past prime GGG in thier rematch was his last great performance. A win against Bivol would surpass that along with every other win on his resume by far imo.

If Bivol runs around the ring trying NOT to hurt Canelo, like so many recent Canelo fights, then Bivol agreed to a dive. If Bivol fights like he usually does it is real. 99% chance Bivol will fight like a sparring partner.

Consensus Beterbiev is #1 175, right now imho Beterbiev is #1 but skills wise Bivol might be a better boxer and a better technician than Artur, in fact I would pick Bivol to outbox Beterbiev if the two of them fought eachother, so while I got Beterbiev as the #1 175 in the world what Hearn is saying is not out of the realm of reality.

Ridiculous statement, since when Bivol has been known to be a come forward pressure fighter like Beterbiev, seems you haven't watched his career, Bivol is a pure boxer who hasn't stopped anyone in the last 5 years and Canelo is iron chinned, this doesn't has anything to do with Bivol trying NOT to hurt Canelo, it's 99% probable he won't try to hurt Canelo because he doesn't need to hurt him to outbox him.
Common sense is lacking a lot, ¿May I suggest you go and study your boxing again?

I’ve been hearing those two names (Beterbiev and Bivol for quite some time and I could care less about that weight classs. I bring it up cause they have NEVER fought each other. I don’t even recall one challenging the other. I think they both know that would be a tuff fight for BOTH MEN. That said Beterbiev looked OLD in his last outing. Bivol would EASILY out box him NOW.
Canelo will easily do the same. I think Beterbiev would of been the cherry pick. Bivol is a threat. Why? Watch Beterbiev’s last fight. Feet move like he’s in mud.

Yes Bivol is a dangerous fighter and can pose problems for Canelo, but everyone who follows boxing knows he’s not considered to be the best in that weight class. Beterbiev is clearly #1 right now and would be the most dangerous fight for Canelo to take in that division.Zaroku likes this.
