Love or hate for Floyd- even if his resume is in the top 3 fighters of his generation, then he is an ATG, and deservedly in the conversation for a/the GOAT. I struggle to see how anyone could dispute that. He seemed to cherry pick, but mainly for financial reasons, and fought plenty of world/elite level opponents in and around their prime. There is no such thing as one single GOAT, so if he's even in the conversation, then that tells you his resume is plenty good enough.

Yeah but you can't pick and choose the good parts of his resume/career and it makes up for any shortcomings during the second half of his career, which was a cherrypick from Marquez all the way to Berto. Conor McGregor for a 50th win are you serious? Thats what I mean by bait and switch.

Come on, no boxing fan (or even casual) counts McGregor as a 'legit' career defining win. It was more of an exhibition than an actual contest. He took it because it was going to be a massive money spinner, which it was. He's one of the most financially smart sportsmen in history.

It don't matter. It was a match that went on his official record.
How much money he makes on a fight and how much credit he gets for when he fights/beats guys is two totally different things.

Oscar, Manny, and Mosley were past prime, way past prime, and waaay past prime.
These are the types of excuses that Floyd boys live off of.

Ok. Manny was not past his prime yet. Canelo was still coming up, ok. Mosely, ok. Baldomir, Corrales, Castillo, Hatton, Marquez, Judah, Maidana (x2) all in their prime. And none of which were even close. Not bad, I would say.
