Definitely speaking from my own interests as a fan, here, but it looks like Ukraine are territorially holding Russia off, they must have some crazy weaponry to resist.

So maybe Usyk will be back sooner than we think. This war will not end anytime soon; I'm thinking minimum of 6 months, more likely years, a la USA in Afghanistan.

Is Usyk really going to be there for the duration? If he is, then fair play to him, really. I'm the first complain that people from the most deprived communities are cannon fodder for imperial politicians.

Given Usyk's unfortunate situation Wallin seems a reasonable option , known for his close fight with Tyson and the fact that Whyte seemed to swerve him .Joyce really would be a great match up but a risk he probably won't want to take.

Otto Wallin would actually be great match making for an interim fight, and I think Team AJ should take the opportunity and use the war excuse while they can and get Joshua a tune-up...

There is the Fury-Wallin narrative, the Whyte avoiding him narrative and if Joshua can't convincingly and aggressively beat Wallin then he really does have no business going back in with Usyk.

Yea, he could be a solid replacement for Usyk compared to others.
But it's also hard to imagine Hearn wanting to work with them again, considering how they behaved after Whyte's fight was off.

Wallin is not very good and is living off of that Fury fight but whatever, if Usyk is out then AJ/Wallin is better than nothing.

A.J should be looking for a southpaw, Wallin is probably the closest thing to Usyk fighting style . Should be Wallin or Ortiz but Joyce is much better competitive fight if they could put that one together .

Living off the loss to Fury. Yes he cut Fury but lost almost every round convincingly. The wins over Kauffman & Breazeale are good ones so that is how I gauge his ability. He could be a good opponent for any HW.

Wilder, Joyce, Wallin, Dubois, who ever. A small southpaw would make most sense sense considing the hopeful near future but if they found one it wouldn't be a Usykalike.

                    He just needs a fight.
