Andre Ward wasn't out-boxer. So, his best weapon wasn't "fighting outside". Canelo is arguably better boxer than him. Both Ward and Canelo are boxer-punchers.

FMW didn't fight "outside" against Canelo. The fight was in middle range. There was no aggressor in the fight. FMW fought like a man and went toe to toe. He also dominated Canelo inside.

Lara was bum and got beaten by crispy body punches. He pissed blood. Pitty patty jabs can't pick apart anyone but body punches can.

Ward is one of the three guys who could beat Canelo in SMW history. Others are RJJ and Calzaghe. Prime Ward vs prime Canelo is 50/50 imo.

Canelo 2.0 cuts the ring very good and his pressure game is top level. He could time prime RJJ. RJJ's best weapon wasn't his fundamental skills. He wasn't FMW. Roy started to lose badly when he lost his speed and reflexes. FMW didn't.

And, if a 168 lber could make RJJ miss, that would be Canelo. Canelo has arguably best head and upper body movement ever in 168 history.
