You know nothing about this sport. You are quite simply a jealous hater. It doesn’t matter what you think of the champions who Canelo beat. They were the SMW champions and now they are not. Canelo could not have had a more impressive run through that division and now he’s on to the next group of champions at LHW. All of this being a natural 154lber. #YDKSAB

Totally agree these guys haven’t done anything to earn a big payday.
Charlo’s biggest accomplishment at 160 was Derevyanchenko. He looked good in that fight, but you’re only as good as your last fight and he looked terrible in what was supposed to be a stay busy fight.
While I’m a big fan of Benevidez’s boxing style, his record is also lackluster. He passes the eye test, but he’s no longer a prospect. Time to gauge him against some real competition. Is there nobody between a shot Dirrell and Canelo?
For any “boxing fan” that doesn’t know Bivol, he’s a highly skilled, 175 lb, boxer/puncher who has an engine that doesn’t show signs of fatigue in 12 round championship fight.
I am anxious to see how Canelo will adjust to a bigger opponent with exceptional boxing acumen, that can stay on his toes for 12 full rounds. This is no shot Kovalev.

Maybe they'll make a reality show for all these fighters hoping to hit the Canelo sweepstakes, where the winner gets to fight him for millions, like the bachelor. (Isn't that the one where the guy is a millionaire and a bunch of gold diggers try to get matched with him?) Ha ha.
The problem is most people who say that only mean a very small specific pool of boxing fans, usually American PBC fans.
He could stage a world wide poll and fight the winner I guess but the PBC guys might never get a look in as they're unknown outside the States,.
Personally, I have no problem with him fighting anyone he likes and if he needs to take a fight off and fight a soft touch say a Charlo in the future I'm not complaining.Comment

No power? Huh? Power is the last thing to go and Kovalev put his last two to sleep. Bums? You need to find a different sport champ. ANY boxer who risks his life EVERY time he steps into a ring, be it sparring or a match is no “bum.” I don’t know where you get off calling any boxer a bum. That’s the problem with this guy….he cleans out a weak division and he thinks that makes him king…cherry picking at its best…other than the golovkin fights none of the name fighters were in their prime or posed no serious threat because their lack of power and the others were out right bums…dazn almost went out of business messing with this guy the first time…he’s a good fighter but the few times he was tested he lost or should’ve lostComment

Something tells me you are miserable in your own life’s accomplishments. So much so that you’ll pick apart any person of prestige or success. The chubby little, Cheeto dusted fingers wafting across each key with vigor. Go make something of yourself. Go find a life coach or something. Boxing isn’t for you.
In the grand scheme of things, Canelo beat one SM “champ” who turtled up on the ropes for 12 rounds, beat another SM “champ” who couldn’t punch and was ****** enough to bend down at waist level and lean his unprotected face into an uppercut (and then quit on his stool after shaming others who bowed out of fights) and beat a third SM “champ” who couldn’t punch and was so mentally weak he spent one of the fight’s late rounds literally asking Canelo if Canelo thought he was a good fighter.
Wow, some accomplishment! Only the boxing media sycophants (who have to keep feeding the “Canelo is a global icon” narrative for their own self-preservation) and the Canelo fan boys are buying this con.Comment

I suppose he has worked himself to be the king of the sport so it all revolves around him but now he is getting sick of that, so it's a double edged sword. But about how he picks his opponents; he will at best satisfy half the fans with every choice he makes. Bivol and Golovkin will satisfy a lot of people and silence a lot of critics but then people will keep saying Bneavidez so he can never satisfy every one so it's pointless even to try. He is at the top and he can see everyone just being like spoilt children and he say's, 'hey I don't care."Comment

Canelo just keeps making history there is no way anyone can argue his next opponent isn't legit. Bivol at 175 is the one all the so called haters have been calling for. First it was that Fielding wasn't a real champ then Kovalev was washed up or whatever, well what can anyone say about Bivol he's undefeated, in his prime and a legit 175 pound fighter. This is huge, Canelo is always looking to make history and this fight is no different if you got a problem with this fight take a good hard look at yourself.Comment

Good pt,Bivol is an engine for 12 rds,not easy by any means,he deserves respect,Hes going to be highly motivated & coming to win at all cost, not just a hail mary punchers chanceTotally agree these guys haven’t done anything to earn a big payday.
