It's true. He has lost a step. Both his stamina, timing and hand to eye coordination are no longer what they used to be. Had he been 5 or 6 years younger he would have knocked Martinez out.
Well at least he outworked the much younger man with his high work rate, punch volume and accuracy. Your problem is that you do not like to see Gonzalez beating up on Mexican fighters and neither does Canelo Alvarez.

Choco's performance was a thing of beauty. Punch choice, combos, placement, timing, fabulous balance. Hitting the stomach early and often, thus wiliting the younger Martinez. Gonzalez deserves all the accolades he gets.Comment

Choco showing again there are levels in this game. Once he studied him in the first round he timed him and landed accurate punches like he always does. He seemed in no rush and was super relaxed in the ring.
Estrada saved himself for a sharp Choco tonight. He didn't even sit on his stool between rounds.
Didn't like one of the score cards that had it closer, Martinez one a round and if you were generous you gave him another one. He got outclassed but showed a lot of heart.Comment

Martinez is a idiot. Couldn't make no adjustments throughout. Choco-T is one of the best fighters today hands down
