The Great Nash decided to swerve this fight. Pedraza is just another Malignaggi, and Ramirez lost to Postol. Taylor's win over Ramirez was so overhyped regardless of all the belts. Ramirez is not and never will be top 50 P4P. Catterall showed Taylor for what he is in a clear 116/111/115/110 victory, but the good old BBBoC and the jobs for the boys, made sure to make Sky's money earner come away with, very predictably, a split decision win. Def watching Gonzalez vs Martinez tonight though, and Choc is gonna show that boy that there are levels to this game, fresh off his robbery loss to Estrada. Nash out.

Where the hell is Prograis? Ramirez-Prograis will be one hell of a scrap.

I would LOVE Ramirez-Prograis sucks Regis is already mid 30's
I wasn't a fan of his early in his career but I really came to appreciate Pedraza's beautiful boxing style. I usually don't appreciate slick, skilled fighters but there have been a few that I've really appreciated and Sniper is one of them.

Prograis really has disappeared and I'm not sure if it will change much since he signed with ProBellum but my fingers are crossed. Wouldn't mind seeing Prograis in with either Ramirez or Teofimo.

It really is a joy to watch his movement, defence, switch-hitting and the way he uses distance. Even though he might be lacking power (especially at 140) his counter hooks are beautiful to watch. The classic spring-loaded rat trap counter.

Not that I necessarily disagree, though I am biased since Matias is one of my favourite active fighters. Top 5 easy.

But I really want to see the conclusion to the IBF final eliminator tournament with Jeremias Ponce from Argentina.

Initially, I thought Matias would just walk through Ponce in his typical short, compact hook, terminator zombie mode, but I do believe Ponce has the heart and will to make this a brutal war of attrition. If the fight gets made and isn't overshadowed by some super fights this year, then I think this could very well be the fight of the year.

At the time of the WBSS I pegged Prograis as the number one guy at 140, after that Taylor fight it seemed like his activity started to decline. I feel like he’s been dying on the vine. I’m really curious to see if he added new wrinkles to his game.

I’ve seen him in interviews where he said he trained with Roberto Duran and picked up some new tricks from the ATG. Duran with his legendary infighting skills could’ve imparted some much needed knowledge when it comes to making space and head control in the pocket. In the Taylor fight I actually had prograis edging the fight from midrange, on the inside Taylor was roughing him up. That was the opposite of what I expected.
