True,Ramirez threw and missed a lot but to my eyes Pedraza threw less and landed less. They obviously looked cleaner because that's his counter punching style and Ramirez style will play into that but unless you're outlanding and hurting your opponent consistently/overwhelmingly round after round, you're not going to get the nod. It was clear and obvious to me that Pedraza was trying to survive and counterpunch his way to victory for majority of the fight rather than trying to outright beat Ramirez and that's why he lost.

I get it, I don't disagree. I had it a draw. Others may have it for Ramirez. I figured it would be 8-4 Ramirez and that's what the judges scored it. I can also see someone thinking Pedraza won if they value ring generalship (and felt he did that) and clean punching over effective aggression.

Yea it just depends on what you favor on how you scored this fight. I didn't see "ring generalship" as yo did though,it looked more like "survivalship" more than anything to me. He caught Ramirez because he took advantage of Ramirez aggression more so than him setting traps and what not. From the on set,it look like Pedraza attempted to spoil more than anything but that's for the most part what he does.

            • Pedraza boxed beautifully. It’s unfortunately uncommon nowadays to see boxers return fire when weaving under and pivoting out from hooks. For several rounds he nullified Ramirez’s offense and landed pinpoint shots; however, low volume and lack of power couldn’t keep Ramirez from walking him down.

Where the hell is Prograis? Ramirez-Prograis will be one hell of a scrap.

Yeah man Pedraza is top 10 P4P when it comes to skills and just skills. The dude lacks power/strength and doesn't seem to have more then a gear or 2 to go to . Wish more fighter's would work on thier tools like this dude does. He's improved so much

I would LOVE Ramirez-Prograis sucks Regis is already mid 30's

                • I like Pedraza but 140 just isn’t the weight class for him. You can just see it in his frame he’s too small and doesn’t have power to compete with top guys. He should go back down to135 where his skills can carry him a little more & the opponents aren’t as big as Ramirez. If he could make 130 he’d probably be even better suited there.

Pedraza has skills but had nothing on 99% of the shots he was throwing/landing. He was also visibly affected by a lot of the shots Ramirez was landing.

Ramirez looked okay. He’s strong & aggressive but has a ton of vulnerabilities in his defense & offense that can be exploited (as Pedraza showed) he should probably stay at 140 for as long as he can because someone like Bud absolutely picks him apart & I couldn’t see him being able to take shots from guys at 47 the way he does at 140.

Prograis knocks out Ramirez.. Ramirez got no power and he’s slow
