I remember Thomas Hearns fighting a challenger at 154 & afterwards said 'my hands just sore so I eased off. If I'm gonna break it I want to break it on Marvin'.

If Gervonta's hands are playing up, all the more reason that he stops hitting no-hopers & fights only the top men at 135. In case Gervonta has forgotten, those men are Kambosos, Haney, Lomachenko & maybe Garcia. Romero has done nothing to earn a title shot at 135 (or any other weight).

I understand that boxing is about getting paid, but most boxers also really care about how they are remembered. Gervonta isn't that young anymore. His hands are giving him grief. He needs to start taking the fights that will make people remember him in a few years time.
