I don't like canelo at all as I think he is a total drug cheat. That said, anyone complaining about his competition is a total moron. Nobody in boxing is fighting anywhere close to the guys he is. They may not be the exact guys you want, but it is still better than what anyone else is doing. Based on what we have seen, I see no reason to think he won't continue to pick off the remaining guys in 2023 (beterbiev/smith winner, benevidez, charlo, andrade, maybe morrelll). If he wants to fight a soft touch in December again i think he should also be allowed that.

Even though I think Canelo should still fight certain guys - those guys need to stop waiting in the soup line for Canelo and fight each other! The entire Middleweight, Super Middleweight, and Lightheavyweight should not come to a grinding halt over a bunch of guys waiting for the Canelo payout.

Now that Canelo is out of the way with these people in the waiting list, I could sense they'll be scrambling to find scrubs for their next fights. They need two scrubs at least till Alvarez is no longer busy fighting others. It will be a long wait. They can't just sit around and wait.

Canelo acts like it's all about everyone wanting to fight him to make the money. This may be partially true, but it's also about having a shot at a seemingly unbeatable fighter. Besides, many of the fans also want to see these fights with him vs Charlo, Benavidez and even Andrade. While a fight vs Bivol may offer a decent challenge, is this really the fight that fans have been screaming for? Canelo said it himself; he cares about his legacy. He is right though about how these other fighters should look to fight each other. They'll still make good money and give the fans potentially exciting fights. No use wasting their best years waiting for Alvarez.
