LOL this invasion of Ukraine was such a miscalculation on *****'s part. I swear he was building up a lot of support among many in the west and it seems like a lot of that has come undone. He's galzanized the west, NATO and the EU and now runs the risk of those nations rapidly divesting from their reliance on Russian gas. They still have China (possibly India too) but it seems like a weakened position to be in. There are legitimate arguments on both sides quite frankly and everyone seems to be an *******...Ukrainian's not allowing women and children of colour to leave, the neo **** azov battalion among Ukrainian military ranks, Russia resorting to collateral damage due to the lack of a breakthrough in Kyiv, idiotic (and increasingly meaningless) threats of nuclear fallout. This conflict will likely produce no winners and a massive seismic shift geopolitically.

The current government of Ukraine was installed through US meddling. ***** warned that he considered NATO/Ukraine a security issue and tried diplomacy first.

Only when the West refused to listen did he go to the military option.

Threatening to use nukes makes him a nut job but that doesn't change the fact that the current regime in Ukraine is a corrupt proxy for the West.

Past or not, the double standards have to be pointed out especially when America are still killing innocent civilians around the world. None of it is justified but America have to be called out for their 'holier than thou' attitude when they have done and are doing similar things.

Installing puppet governments in Central American was the US speciality. As for the present situation, there were Russians living in Ukraine and vice versa which was not a big thing under the USSR but has caused conflict since, e.g. Crimea and Donetsk region. But ***** is using what could be argued to be legimtate grievances in the SE Ukraine region as a guise for empire building. I fear the upcoming seige of Kiev is going to be awful. Still, it never ends well for violent dictators (Gaddaffi, Hitler, Hussein, etc. all executed).

Fair enough if they're still doing similar things although of course each situation is unique. I'm not a fan of blaming a nation for the deeds of a previous regime though.

So what would you propose ***** do? Get the US involved and play shot for shot with nukes against an angry god complex nut dictator? Any involvement directly by the US would trigger nuke response. Nobody on this planet needs that to happen. With the amount of nukes that would be fired back and forth, all the nuclear fallout left behind, consider it the end of human civilization.
