Comments Thread For: Tim Tszyu-Terrell Gausha To Headline Showtime Tripleheader 3/26 In Minneapolis

Tim Tszyu and Terrell Gausha have been elevated to a "Showtime Championship Boxing" main event. Their junior middleweight match initially was supposed to be the co-feature before the Brian Castano-Jermell Charlo rematch March 19 at ******.com Arena in Los Angeles. Once Castano suffered a slight tear to his right biceps while training, their second 154-pound title unification fight was postponed last month, likely until an undetermined date in May.

Tim Tszyu is now the main-event on Showtime in America, like his legendary father Kostya Tszyu. I knew that this day would come, the stage is set for the 'Soul-Taker' to face the winner of Charlo-Castano on PPV.

Its going to be a hell of a ride, WAR TIM TSZYU!!!

Tszyu is doing the right thing by aligning himself with pbc and showtime in the usa. Good move. Looking forward to seeing jr fight. Used to watch his old man on showtime. Not a lot these days to get excited about in boxing but this actually is something to look forward to

I wish they could put Shohjahon Ergashev on this card! Very eager to see him fight again! A fighter like Batyr Akhmedov, or Brandun Lee, would definitely test him!

I'm glad to see Tszyu's FINALLY fighting in the states. I've been wondering when this day would come. He would be smart to align himself with PBC, they have a large stable of fighters and particularly Charlo and Castano.

I would be shocked if we didn't see Tszyu on Showtime again in the very near future after this fight. I'm sure PBC / Showtime captured rights to a future Tszyu fight.

I’m glad this fight is going down. Should be a good fight. Tim can position himself for the winner with a dynamic performance.

The first quarter of 2022 is very promising.

Gausha is actually a very nice step up for him, especially considering it is his debut in the USA. The American Olympian has only lost to Lara and Lubin and he put the latter on jelly legs in that fight. Gausha also coming off an impressive stoppage victory against a tough fringe contender.

Gausha has some skills and can crack hard enough. His pace and agression leave a bit to be desired, I expect Tszyu to carefully break him down before overwhelming him but I doubt it will be easy.
