You Ahole,Canelo beat Cotto in Dec 2015(call it 2016) He had already signed to fight ggg before Chavez Jr fight which was on May 2017,he announced ggg fight immediately after winning,making it 1.5 yrs from winning a lineal belt v Cotto,& a few mos after getting stripped by Wbc when ggg said he was the A side & deserved 45% which the Wbc tried to give him in purse bid while Canelo was in trial not knowing which promoter would win & lost millions.

When have you ever heard of a fighter winning a lineal title he didn't want, getting stripped for not giving a hypejob nobody 45% for beating bum ass Rubio(Chavez jrs leftovers) & getting a vacant jr title?

Then when have you heard of someone fighting that supposed boogieman a few mos later anyways?

Canelo literally fought ggg less than a yr after the absolute soonest he could've signed to fight him. Yet according to g fans he ducked ggg?GTFOH(& Canelo wasn't in his prime yet like ggg who had no wear & tear & was prime ranked p4p undefeated)

Actually ggg and Canelo SIGNED to fight 12/2016. 13 months after Cotto. Then fought Chavez Jr. Then told the world they had a deal before the Chavez fight...

If a fan base is not going DEMAND their guy to do something, they better not DEMAND that other guy do it.

But what does that even mean, are we to buy into some false belief that all fans of a certain fighter feel the same way? Thats the strawman illogical type of thinking that permeates throughout our political discourse. Whereas, there we rely on this false dichotomy to make ourselves feel better, here we rely on the dumbest and most illogical fans of fighters and paint them as the masses, so we can argue against them and feel wise about it.

Fan Base is a foolish concept because it relies on the premise that there is some uniformity of belief amongst those who root for a certain fighter. When most likely all you are doing is arguing against internet trolls, or the dregs of those who are blind sycophants. The problem is, in doing so one tends to become the same, but for another fighter.
