Yeah in an honorable and meritocratic world of boxing they would rematch. Not gonna happen. There's no money in it for Arum (or Taylor). High risk, low reward. And (apart from the 'scores'), Taylor knows it wasn't even close. If Caterall had stopped Taylor then maybe. But if I was Taylor I would f*** it and vacate and move up.

is absolutely agree with you 100%. Well said .

I think Davis has a good chance of beating Taylor after todays performance

Having been at the fight I am disgusted and ashamed at that decision. I always thought corruption was a thing that occurred in far off shores carried out by the usual suspects...I was wrong. Josh is my guy and I know the weight cut murdered him and it showed. He was second in a two horse race and Jack Catterall was robbed off his dream of becoming a world champion. Josh needs to grant a rematch to restore integrity in the sport we love. I know making 140 for Josh is difficult but this win(?) needs to be avenged

This is by far the worst part of this sport. Blatant corruption.

Not just a world champ. Undisputed. These opportunities are rare enough at any weight, for even the most elite boxers. Caterall will never be a worldwide name, and even if he wins a **** WBA super interim diamond world whatever champ, he will never get a shot to be undisputed ever again. No single belt will ever make up for what he's been robbed of tonight.

Didnt watch though was reading play by play like the 1930s joe louis. Omm whomever scored the fight 114-111 in favor of taylor with taylor being knocked down n outboxed should be fired. Very biased. Also when results is such and you dont want to offer rematch its usually cause you know you were gifted a win. Had been anywhere but home id been a loss.

It is just terrible what the judges did to Jack! As soon as I heard that Ian John Lewis was a judge I thought, "oh spit!". I don't think he is corrupt, he is just incompetent. He should have been banned from judging years ago. The worse thing is the powers-that-be knows it but they keep giving him chances. If it was a foreign judge, Sky and other commentators would have picked him out but with British judges they don't. Why don't they keep a record of judges decisions so after a few bad decisions those judges are struck off? Boxing Board of Control, shame on you!

Catterall won so clearly. Boxing gives itself another black eye, over and over again. It robs fighters of their hard earned victories after much sacrifice.

The corruption is so deep, how does boxing fix this? You can go back to when a judge gave Canelo a draw against Floyd.

Remember Whitaker robbed against Chavez, Oscar robbed against Trinidad, and Lewis vs Holyfield, to name a few among many shocking decisions.
I think Oscar pissed that fight away but i get your point. I think Taylor’s reputation takes a hit regardless, a world beater he is not.

Regarding the issue of Taylor being a more "marketable" fighter; sure, he's a big name and achiever in the sport, but what could be more marketable that an unheralded underdog rising to the highest level against all odds? It's literally the plot of Rocky, one of the most beloved and well known sports stories in the world.

If it is true that the scores were decided on future financial merit, then the powers that be have really ****ed it up.

And on top of that they have openly robbed a worthy person of their big day. Cotterall will NEVER have another chance of this magnitude.

No matter how they may try to spin it, there is absolutely nothing that justifies this tragedy.
