No, he cannot claim he is a champion, even in a world of alphabet titles. Taylor is the champion of all the sanctioning bodies.

Only if you want to remove champion as a useable word with any meaning can you start to acknowledge secondary champion titles. A champion means the person who is top or first. Secondary champion is meaningless therefore. You're either first or you're not first. You can't be second first.

He's the 1st place not-champion, maybe.

I understood, but words have meaning. I refuse to empower the WBA by acknowledging their meaningless shlt. If the WBA named ten 10 chamions, would they all be champions? No. There is only one champion. I don't care about the sanctioning fees he pays, he isn't a champion. What does regular champion even mean? It means you aren't a champion of a division. It's simply a mislabel therefore. You cannot take the regular part out of it and claim you are a champion without being dishonest.

Point taken and as I said before this how I see it. I wish we had 1 org and 1 belt per weight class it would force fighters to fight up and the champion would be king of the mountain always fighting to not be dethroned.

Tank is not going to fight Taylor. I don't see any benefit for either fighter. Tank has almost zero chance and if Taylor wins it will be what is expected.

Listen, more people are paying attention to Gervonta Davis career than the 'Tart-Tomato' undisputed reign. The UK did not even have a live feed for Josh Taylor's crowning vs. Jose Ramirez, but Gervonta Davis was on the big-stage vs. Mario Barios on PPV for a regular title.

Davis is a belt-holder. The recognized champ, with all the relevant belts, is Taylor.

Based on his career path, no matter how much money Davis makes, he will still remain a 140 belt-holder, not a champ.

Why is everyone suddenly **** riding Taylor? He lost 5 rounds to Baranchuk or whatever that bum is called. Lost 5 rounds to Postol, look what Crawford did to him? I didn't pay attention to the division until is was just Josh and Jose and Josh looked pretty damn good in that fight. So I started to fan for him, pay a little more attention, brag a little harder on him, etc. I'd assume most are closer to that route than they care to admit.

We'll probably get the Taylor Matias fight. PBC got 3 belts on lock at 147 and there's no way Bob is doing business with Crawford while he has an open court case against him, so Taylor is kinda stuck at 140. Matias & teo are gonna b the 2 best options he has other than rematches with prograis and Ramirez. Id like to see a future fight with tank and martin once Frank gets a little more experience under his belt.
