    Regardless of his personal life De La Hoya was an excellent fighter he had everything power, speed, technique and a chin. That and the fact that he ducked nobody made him a fan friendly fighter that will be remembered for generations. Also if it wasn't for De La Hoya, Floyd and Pacquiao wouldn't have reached that superstar level. It was after they fought him that their earnings skyrocketed and they became the next 2 big stars in boxing.

      Thats a good point, Hoya got alot of guys their box office status.

            He ducked the immediate rematch with Floyd, and hasn't shut up about it since.
