Both should retire. Brook never goes back to 147 and Eubank is 160 which is too big for Brook. Khan showed heart and if he can get an easy retirement fight to say goodbye then fair play but he looks like he wants to say goodbye to boxing. Brook will never "get up" for a fight like this again, remember him from this fight.

Comments Thread For: Kell Brook Punishes Amir Khan, Stops Him in Sixth Round

Said yesterday we'd look back at this as a bit of a mismatch. Brooks timing with either hand was always going to be too much for Khan, and it was in every round.
Had £50 on Brook rounds 1-6 at 5-1, occasionally the bookies just get it wrong. Khan tried every dirty trick in the book including some new ones to compromise Kell. Only downside was we didn't get the textbook Khan floppage, but several skanky leg dances helped compensate for that.
Hope Brook retires now, perfect end to a very long career and years of putting his body through the mill. Can't think of another fighter (probably are a few) who turned pro at 18 in the welterweight division and fighting like that 17 years later at just over a pound heavier on the scales.
He won't get a sweeter, more financially rewarding conclusion to his career. Froch knew that against Groves, only concern is Brook can be talked into making some dangerous fights under silly circumstances.
As for Khan, so happy he got humbled. Only got himself to blame, the only reason why this fight happened in the first place was because Khan thought Brook was done after both eye sockets had caved and a bad camp / loss to Crawford and wanted to exploit Brooks obvious dislike and desperation. He'll have to live with how badly this has all backfired, and all the silly contractual obligations stipulated on Brook can only make that worse.Last edited by Ant1979; 02-20-2022, 03:17 AM.Victor valdez

I got my prediction right of Brook inside 6 rounds. Poor fight though. Disappointed in both guys, and a stoppage without a knockdown was a sad end as well. Time for both to retire. Khan is shot to bits, but Brook wasn't much better. Never came close to putting Khan down and needed help from A-Star to get the job done. Poor night of boxing, but these night's happen. Nash out.Victor valdez likes this.

I'm a fan of both but was glad to see Brook get the win. Khan has talked down to Brook quite a bit over the years so it must of been a real satisfying win for Brook.
I feel a Brook stoppage win would of been the result if they had met a few years back too. His timing has always been really good and was there to negate Khan's speed.
Khan will be disappointed losing a grudge match like that, but he's had a good career and should probably call it a day now.
