I will say one thing? I find it strange the way, Kell Brook always wanted the respect of Amir Khan. Khan was not a fighter who was above him, or his senior.

Kell Brook's achievements speak for themselves, he was WBC Super Welter Weight Champion.

I am picking Khan to win, but I know this loss will be devastating for Brook. If ether fighter loses, it will be devastating to them.

But if this fight is a all time great grudge match, in terms of competitive action. I think win or lose both fighters will leave the fight with increased value to their boxing legacies.

And there could actually be a market for a rematch . At the end of the day, people want to see genuine spiteful match ups 'This is why Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder III, was a bigger event and match up than Joshua vs Usyk I'.

Me personally, I could not careless about hand shakes or hugs. The only respect fighters need to show each other, is preparing optimally and not cheating.

Considering the fact that Khan won an Olympic Silver medal and Brook didn't even make it into the British Olympic team, I'm almost certain Khan dominated Brook as an amateur. That's why Brook has been chasing Khan ever since.

However, Khan and Brook both hit their peaks at different times, despite being around the same age. Khan peaked earlier (late 2000s to early 2010s), while Brook peaked later on (mid-2010s). Like with Mike Tyson (peaked late 1980s) and Lennox Lewis (peaked late 1990s).

When they were both in their primes, Khan was definitely the more accomplished fighter. After winning an Olympic medal at 17 years old, he became a world champion by the time he was 22 years old. In contrast, Brook never went to the Olympics, wasted his prime years fighting bums, and didn't become a world champion until he was 29.

Brook won the IBF belt, not the WBC Super belt. He won the WBC Silver belt, which is not the same thing as the WBC Super belt. The only world championship belt he won is the IBF.

Either way, this is a good fight for both of them. They're both past their primes and can't compete with the current younger world champs, so they might as well fight each other and make a ton of money while doing so before retiring. May the best man win.

if kell gets jabbed in either eye, he's done.
if amir gets timed, he's done.
it isn't going to be a great fight unless they both risk their long term health just for pride.

Brook was never world champ at 154

I always refer to 154 as light middle weight, and 147 as super welter weight.

Khan has beaten the better fighters, and overall his resume win or loss is more stacked.

I agree, that Amir Khan has probably had better career 'And maximized his potential'.

I just thought it was strange the way, Brook wanted Khan's respect 'Validation almost you could say'.

Skill for skill, Brook may have been the better fighter at his peak 'But has not got the wins to back this up'.

I am not 100% on this, but people could make a case.

Why? Light middleweight is the same thing as super welterweight = 154

                      147 is welterweight
