It's not always about a raw number. The devil is in the details when it comes to contracts and purses. As for exposure, does he really need more of that and would a FOX or Showtime PPV get him more as opposed to a DAZN (presumably) PPV? I think GGG's name has more value than either the names of Charlo or Benavidez to casuals.

I've seen Benavidez fight many times, he looks very impressive against a certain level of opposition. I don't see anything that would make me think he's any more dangerous than Bivol. I just don't see how any unbiased fan would see this as a duck by Canelo when he's looking to fight a talented LHW champion with good wins and also a guy who many feel beat him before (GGG).

That's all your opinion. I'll go with what I have seen in the ring and that is GGG gives Canelo a tough fight and Bivol has better wins than Benevidez and he's a world champion at 175. Benevidez hasn't fought a fking soul

No problem with that, still plenty of great fights to be made, take that damn $100 Million and instead sign Crawford and make him vs Spence vs Ugas winner or him vs Jermall Charlo vs Castano winner (if that happens). PBC have way too many big fight that they themselves haven't done in house to be giving Canelo the entire Budget for 2 Fights leaving a lot of talented fighters inactive and/or fighting once a year

As for Canelo, just Drop all the Belts at 168 and let Benavidez, Morrell, Plant, Charlo, Andrade...Battle it out for those Belts which would make for some excellent fights ultimately

Canelo might as well go to 175 and Unify and make more History, Bivol in May then the winner of Beterbiev vs Joe Smith in September...ZERO interest in a GGG Trilogy, it is meaningless. Canelo will get no credit for retiring a 40 year old Man lol so yeah going for 175 Unification for 2022 should be the play. Now if he does turn around and fight Ryder in the UK instead of Charlo, it is no defending that garbage at all

Bivol is the most dangerous fight, no duck there...
cant deal with charlo now for obvious reasons, so cant really commit to a multi fight deal with pbc for now..

Yes but I think Charlo and Benavidez have a better chance to beat Canelo than Bivol or GGG.

either way I don’t consider this a duck. He got 2 really great offers. He appears to have chosen the DAZN one.

When your the cash cow, everyone wants to fight but not everyone gets to.

Respectfully, I disagree because why else would he be the 1st fight if there was a chance he’d beat Canelo?

let’s be honest here. Reynoso screaming about Benavidez and his comments regarding him, reminded me of Mickey screaming about Clubber Lang in Rocky 3. Reynoso is smart and a damn good trainer/manager, he’s protecting Canelo from Benavidez. Win or lose Benavidez will put Canelo through things in the ring he’s never faced. It would be a war. Canelo could not play his finesse games and pick his spots. Benavidez is a terminator. That’s why Floyd, Bradley and most boxers feel Benavidez is Canelo’s toughest fight. He’s not the flashiest or most technical but he’s a warrior that doesn’t stop coming.

I like Canelo a lot, but this is a clear duck and a bad look. I don’t think he’s afraid, I think Reynoso is. Bivol is a safe fight, a chess match. Bivol is overrated and looks washed up. GGG is completely shot and you could argue has won 2 of his last 4 fights. Disappointing that Canelo and his team ran away from more money and better exposure.
I think Bivol would be favored over Benavidez, and GGG would be favored over Charlo. Charlo was also just arrested.

                  Bivol >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Benavidez and Charlo.

And it's not even close. There's no duck going on.

Now that they're freed up, why won't Benavidez and Charlo fight?

I saw Charlo’s last fight were he was repeatedly hurt by a mexican taxi driver and couldn’t knock him out.

I don't consider myself either a fan or a hater of Canelo. I think all of the potential fights are good ones for different reasons: Charlo, GGG, Benavidez, Bivol.

Charlo has looked ordinary as of recent but I think he's do well to go up to 168 and he's a proud fighter with a nasty streak. GGG is ancient but there's no evidence his chin is compromised and he would probably die in the ring before submitting to Canelo, it will be violent.

Bivol and Benavidez are at opposite spectrums but still pose challenges to overcome. Beterbiev can look ordinary but I remember Benavidez doing the same against Gavril.
This is logical. I am also not a fan nor hater of Canelo but you are correct in saying if Canelo went with the PBC offer people would yell he is ducking Bivol snd GGG. I personally would rather see the Charlo and Benavidez fights but wont complain about Bivol and GGG. If were being honest all those fights are more intriguing than most fights we get on the regular.
