Judging on his last few performance, is he finished? Does he have another big payday in him?
Guys, in all honesty -- Is Danny Jacobs finished at the top level or as a fighter

1) yes, he's finished as a top fighter and 2) no, he doesn't have another big payday in his future.
I thought he won against Ryder but the same red flags appeared in this fight that have appeared in the past. He sets a pace and tempo that makes for a close fight regardless of who he's fighting, whether that be GGG, Gabe Rosado or John Ryder.
Without a belt, who would give him a payday? He doesn't have a huge following, he hasn't been exciting since Quillin and Mora. He'd have to work his way back to contention for a belt and I don't think he has that hunger at this age and stage.

His speed has gone, and being someone who got his power from his speed, rather than natural thudding power (such as Golovkin) his power is more limited as well. He was poor vs Rosado in a fight he lost really, and was almost as bad yesterday, although he did win a clear 7-8 rounds, but we all know Eddie Hearn doesn't eat out, he prefers home cooking, so don't come to Eddie's territory if you aren't prepared for the high likelihood of a robbery. Good old Eddie Hills bringing it back like old school Germany. Nash out.Comment

His ability to fight to the level of his opponent, and never much higher or lower, is something I can't recall for any other fighter.
He fought Rosado and Chavez Jr worse than Canelo and GGG.
I don't think he's done; but I don't know where he goes from here.Comment

He’s having issues pulling the trigger. That’s a sign it might be time to think about retirement.
He’s the miracle man that went to the highest level of the sport and fell short. It’s hard to mentally get back in the game unless you still are in love with getting your face pushed in. But now he’s aging and looking down the barrel of retirement. One more C level euro fight and end with a win and without punishment. Retire and focus on business and getting your boxing fix outside of the ring.Comment

Yeah he's done, certainly at the top level. He beat Ryder last night, he got shafted with a bit of home cooking but he didn't look good and Ryder is certainly not a top tier Boxer.Comment
