    168 is very bad division

A complete journeyman in Rosado in somehow a "player" here. Ryder is very ordinary and he was actually robbed against Callum Smith and he did it enough to make it looking close against Jacobs so he actually edged a split decision.

Division is garbage. Canelo beat all semi important guys here except Benavidez.

Don’t think Ryder is very ordinary at all. Clearly a very good fighter, solid fundamentals and boxing (he’s a boxer-puncher with a tendency to come forward, not a pressure fighter like some seem to believe). Jacobs is an elite spoiler and survivor. He has people calling his decision loss vs Golovkin a robbery, some somehow saw the Canelo fight as close, ofcourse a fight that could actually go either way is this years most egregious robbery.

The division is short on talent, but I’d put Ryder up there with Benavidez as the few to watch. I think they beat the rest. Danny will make a close fight with anyone as per usual.

Ryder is much better than > Saunders, Plant, and since he clearly beat Smith….. That’s who Canelo beat.

Not a great division but how many divisions are stacked with elite fighters? 168 has the best boxer in the world in Canelo, solid unbeatens in Benavidez and Morrell, and guys like BJS and Plant who would be a very tough test for anybody not named Canelo. Seems likely Andrade is going to 168 and Charlo+GGG not far behind. I don't think many people would have Jacobs or Ryder in the top 5

A lot of the time a division gets rated higher because guys aren't fighting. Everybody talks about the talent at 135 and 147 but if those guys actually fought each other, the losers would get called exposed, overrated etc. Canelo just cleaned house so a bunch of guys have recent defeats.

Well said, spot on. I think the last time I remember being genuinely impressed with Jacobs is when he dusted Peter Quillin in a round. His career since then reminds me of Jermain Taylor's while he was the middleweight champ. Highly touted but always underwhelming, content to just eke out a win (in Taylor's case) or keep things close (in Jacobs'). Even the Sulecki fight was very close.

160 was garbage when GGG was there beating up bum after bum after bum.

I don’t remember seeing a thread from you complaining about it.
